  1. the cardinals and the angels. the cardinals because they have one of the best managers in baseball in Tony LaRussa, and hes a mastermind of the game he hits the pitcher 8th to make the leadoff spot more efficient at making runs . the angels because as a team they do it all, they can sacrifice bunt, hit to sides of the diamond when the situation calls for it, steal bases and pitch very well.

  2. Even though I'm a Brewers fan, in a completely unbiased answer, I'll say the Brewers.

Ned Yost has used more lineups than almost any other manager in baseball, and he's even tried to bat the pitcher in the 8 spot, with Jason Kendall in the 9th.  The Brewers have used a platoon in many positions this year, and they're even platooning the pitcher's 5th spot in the starting rotation between Seth McLung and Dave Bush.

Did I even mention trades?  The Brewers made the biggest trade of the season getting CC Sabathia, and they just picked up Ray Durham as well.  I wouldn't be surprised if they made another trade to improve the bullpen as well.

  3. I completely agree with killzone. I'm a Brewers fan but, I wouldn't call this answer biased.  Ned Yost has, for the most part, pushed all the right buttons with this team.  He's done a great job of using the bench.  His bullpen management has been a bit shaky at times..but, pretty much all good.

On top of that Doug Melvin, our General Manager, has pulled off a couple of pretty good trades as well as some genius signings.  First he signed Gabe Kapler, Jason Kendall, Mike Cameron and Salomon Torres.  Then he signs Ryan Braun to a long term deal..which really doesn't affect this year..just a brilliant move.  On top of that the trades for CC Sabathia and Ray Durham.  Plus, the possibility of improving our bullpen.

  4. I'll throw the Angels in the ring.

They showed incredible patience with Santana and Saunders.  Santana was the subject of multiple trade rumors in the offseason.

They bucked conventional wisdom in signing Torii Hunter, and continue to manufacture their runs.  True they score fewer runs, but clearly 40 saves by Rodriguez and a 60-39 record is evidence that their plan is working.

Sometimes the best moves are the ones you don't make.

  5. I would have to go with the Brewers.

They will do anything to not let this season fall.

    Its win or bust.

    Jack

  6. The Cardinals are pulling out all the stops.

I don't think trades are straegic. LaRussa has been batting the pitcher 8th all season..... he even had Pujols f****s stealing

  7. Ill say the cardinals, larussa is a great manager that does anything to win.......
