i would say Webb.  If Sabathia would have came to the BrewHaHa's a lil sooner he would have.  Id say hes gonna go 12 or 13-0 for them.  Thats dang near perfection. Plus with a ton of complete games.  Hes a beast.  Sabathia 2009 Nl cy-young.

Tim Lincecum is the most dominant pitcher in baseball

Edit:Whoever gave me a thumbs down is in idiot. Lincecum is the best pitcher in baseball. He is on one of the worst teams yet has 13 wins leads the league in strikeouts by getting almost 10 a game. Is tied for the league lead in quality starts and has been solid the whole season. Theres no doubt Brandon Webb is also a front runner but give me one good reason why lincecum doesn't deserve the Cy young

It'll end up being between Webb and Sabathia.

CC would need to go around 14-15 and 0 with an ERA under 2 to beat out Webb, but with the way he's been pitching, I wouldn't say that that couldn't happen.

Webb has a tendency to absolutely fall apart in September, in case people remembered.  If that happens, CC has a great chance to win it.

I don't think that Tim Lincecum will be there in the end.

Julie K: Please, improve your knowledge of baseball before answering a question like this...Not only is Dan Haren not even in the top 8 Cy Young candidates, but a pitcher doesn't have to play in one place for an entire year to qualify for an award.

im gonna say brandon webb, only because he has a very good record. lincecum should get it, but i highly doubt it. in a year or 2 tho, he will get his. CC would have gotten it, but he came over a bit too late. so i say webb. but soon enough cole hamels will be in the talk.....within the next 3 years

No question it's Brandon Webb, he's got 18 wins and an ERA under 3 plus his team is battling for first place so he has been a big factor for them winning!!

In my opinion, Sabathia shouldn't be in consideration. Sure he's a great pitcher, but I just think Lincecum would win it over him.

no doubt it should be brandon webb with his 18-4 record 2.85 era but one could argue for tim lincecum with 13-3 record and 2.60 but i think we can agree brandon is keeping the diamondbacks in place if he fails it will be alot of pressure on dan haren
