  1. I used to be the most aggressive a*****e on the road...until last year when I totaled my car going about 90 down the freeway by switching lanes a little too fast.  The car rolled over and thought I was going to kill myself, but thankfully I was wearing a seat belt and escaped with just a few cuts and bruises.  I managed not to hit any other cars, too, which helped.  That accident alone was enough to get rid of all the road rage that had built up through the years.  But of course I hope that it doesn't take that much for anyone else, ever.

  2. I've nearly lost myself to it.  For a while in college it was always disturbing to my roommate to find new bullet holes in my truck. At the insistance of him and his girlfriend, I took a different job to avoid driving in places where people would get angry enough to shoot at me.

Needless to say I never get lower than half a tank of fuel and make a point of knowing what sort of stuff I can do to lose a lunatic. As a 4x4 owner, I know that most rail easements have a muddy track beside them for maintenance vehicles, as well as where and when, in my home town, where I can get away with zipping across a median that a smaller car or more timid driver won't risk.

Drive Defensively, keep your cell charged and handy.
