  1. That 1906 team that had the best regular season winning percentage of all time didn't even end up winning the World Series.  HAHAHAHA  Those chokers lost to the Chicago White Sox in 6 games.  The scrubs would end up chokin alot more to this day.

The record for wins in a single season is 116 - it was first achieved by the 1906 Chicago Cubs side, during a 152 game season, and was matched by the 2001 Seattle Mariners during a 162 game season. So the Mariners hold the record for a 162 game season; however the Cubs could claim to have had the best single-season record of all-time in %age terms, since they only suffered 36 losses compared to Seattle's 46.
