  1. I joined the Environmental Club...but the president and other members didn't show up...so maybe next time...I don't know what they do there yet? Recycle? It was purely out of boredom.

skaz. There are people that practically devote their life to helping the envornment. Not me, but I try to be good to it, but there are people that work really hard, and you're really disrespectful.

  2. I am an environmental engineer, I work with developers to minimise polution and flooding from their developments, I give councils advice on how to better manage there stormwater systems and rivers, I provide expert witness statements and I work with environmental groups to restore areas to a natural state, such as creating wetlands or restoring flood plain. For an example of a project I was involved see the link to the Wadebridge Saltmarsh Restoration scheme below:

Its these kinds of jobs that give you a real feeling of satisfaction and help the environment for the better.

I am also involved in tree and wetland planting initiatives (voluntary) and I own a section of land adjacent to a stream in a urban area which I have planted out to form a little wildlife haven and done some stream improvements.

I love the outdoors and nature and like to do my bit.

However, I am not a member of any "green" groups or consider myself an environmentalist, I drive a sports car(though I ride my bike alot as well but for fitness), I dont like to recycle, I dont care about co2 and global warming and I support fox hunting etc...

  3. Ok just so you know, I am a HUUUUUUUUUGE environmentalist, so if you ever want any ideas, email me at globetrotter1991@aol.com (that goes for anybody). But if you want to help the environment, you can join some online communities, like WE. I am subscribed to them, and they have a great program that you can sign up for. You can also recycle, walk or ride your bike instead of drive, donate money to organizations, and simple everyday things like using less water and electricity. If you want to help pandas directly, you could probably find an organization that helps protect them. You could probably join community organizations nearby too. I plan to make a positive impact on the environment directly. I plan to be an environmental scientist and work for the World Wildlife Fund. If you have any questions, email me. I'd love to hear from anybody who would like some advice.
