Who Here Has Ever Won the Lottery? And how Much?

I rarely ever bother playing the lotto because there just doesn't seem to be any point, but I was thinking about it the other day and wondered how many people in real life actually win.

Please don't lie as there's no point...

I am just curious who here has won it and how much did you get?

I think one of my parents won $100 once and I've won probably about $5 total out of the ten-fifteen times I've played in my life. Ha. I guess luck doesn't run in my family.

Several years ago, we got a few matching numbers (Texas lottery - I don't remember if we matched four numbers or five. I think it was five) and we won about 1700 dollars I think, which we needed pretty badly at that time, too.

Though sometimes it kills me that we were just a number away from winning millions, I do appreciate that we won at least that, at a time when we were struggling to get by.

But we don't buy lottery tickets any more. It just started to feel too much like money down the drain.

My grandfather won $250k about 8 years ago.  He played everyday with the same numbers every time.

I won $100 on a scratch off once. My grandmother won $50,000 many years ago. But as much as she played, over the years she probably gave it all back. LOL.
