  1. Sachin Tendulkar is the inventor of Paddle Shot. The shot was first played when bowlers adopted negative tactics bowling round the wicket from wide of the stumps into the rough.

  2. I reckon it was Owais Shah

  3. given your eye coordination even manmohan can do it

  4. I remember Mike Gatting playing the paddle sweep before Sachin Tendulkar made his Test debut! Where people get such c**p (about Sachin or Dhoni being the inventors) amazes me (and I'm Indian)! As far as the reverse sweep goes, the first person I can remember playing it was Jonty Rhodes, but Mark Waugh attempted it once or twice soon after.

  5. It was none other than Colin Cowdrey!!!

"Geoff Boycott, another Yorkshireman known for blunt speaking, had nothing but praise for the Cowdrey he knew. ``He was a gentleman, on the field and off and, in my opinion, a great technician when he was batting too. He invented the paddle sweep but against the quicks or the spinners he was one of the greats.''"

  7. I think it existed before Dhoni played.

So I 'll go with Sachin.

  8. Sachin Tendulkar

  9. sachin as he started his career long before dhoni.moreover he is more experienced than him.he played that shot before dhoni started his career.
