DOROTHY DIETRICH  is one of the leading magicians in the field.  Often called "The first lady of magic," etc.  A full description about here can be found in wikipedia.  She is the first and only woman to accomplish the jinxed bullet catch, where a bullet is caught in her mouth in a special metal cup, under test conditions. It has killed over 12 men, and injured many others.  She also did the record shattering stunt of escaping from a strait  jacket hundreds of feet in the air from the bottom of a parachure ride, at Knots Berry Farms Amusement Park for Home Box Office with co-star Tony Curtis, who played Houdini in the famous biopic, in California.  As always under test conditions put in by security guards, and the rope she was suspended by was set on fire.  Never duplicated, and Houdini would never dare to do either of the two stunts.. Houdini always had a separate wire cable to protect is falling, and never burned the rope. Houdini backed out of doing the bullet catch after saying he would do it.  She travels to special events and shows and currently heads up the famous Houdini Tour, Museum & Show Experience in Scranton, PA. It is the only building in the world entirely devoted to Houdini.  She often performs there with live animals such as doves, a rabbit, a duck, poodles, etc. Bill Cosby with whom she did a TV special calls her the "bird lady."  She is also often called "the first woman to saw a man n half!"
