  1. I always love these questions because I can always get so many great idea's for knew authors and great knew books to read:

To Rose:  I have to agree with Jane Austen but one thing I just would have to go nose to nose with you I don't know why everyone like's Pride & Prejudice over Sense & Sensebility, I'm sorry I just don't even see the competition, there both good but come on,,,but I guess that's why everyone get's there own opinion lol,

To Skycat: I love Dean Koontz  "False Memories" very good book my shrink saw me reading it and looked uncomfortable and I asked her what was wrong and she said oh well we just have to take that stuff pretty serious around here, I'm like what stuff? I guess False Memories is really a clinical term, you would have to read the book to understand, but it's good

I also read a book called "lovely bones" I can't think of the author but OMG please anyone I highly recommend it, you won't regret it, it's fantastic please give it a try!

also anything else by Dean Koontz is great "Odd Thomas" etc,,,

Jackie Collins is good if you want the hollywood, s*x, murder, money, drugs etc,,,,,

Oh and if anyone wants to read and do the workbook for my algebra ya know just for fun this semester, I would even be let's say willing to pay for your thought's lol??????anybody???

but seriously thanks I will have to get busy and thanks guys, looks like I have some reading to catch up on, thanks

  2. Christopher Paolini- he wrote an amazing book with so many creative and descriptive scenes in it and at the age of 15!!!

I like Eragon and Eldest the same because they are from the same series and are both amazing

  3. My best 'author' is two actually. I love Jane Austen and Oscar Wilde.

Jane Austen, I love, because of the Regency language, the humour and the romance of her stories. The best of her books, though I love them all, she only wrote six novels, is without a doubt 'Pride and Prejudice'. It has been voted the best loved book so many times, despite the story being over two hundred years old.

Oscar Wilde, I love for his wit, his humour, his plays and his amazing stories, for both adults and children. Of his adult stories I love 'The Picture of Dorian Gray' best and of his children's books 'The Selfish Giant.'

  4. I know I know

im gonna sound like a teenage girl following the crown [im 18 though]

but i think Stephenie meyer has a great imagination. not only because of Twilight but The Host was great too.

i also like Sarah Dessen, i dont know why but i always can relate to her stories.

dave pelzer also is really good.

  5. I love Stephenie Meyer. Her style of writing is amazing. The whole Twilight Saga entranced me from the start!

I also love J.K.Rowling. Harry Potter helped me through so many years of school and bullying. She is the whole reason I got into writing.

I know people say that you shouldn't compare the two but they are both my role models.

I just realised this makes me sound nerdy, but I'm proud of my random nerdiness :)

  6. I don't know if there is a "best" author, they are just all different...and have talent...I really like Stephenie Mayer...the Twilight Series...I'm also a fan of J.K Rowling...Sara Dessen, Meg Cabot... and Sara Zarr...(edit)...I was thinking and I can't say for sure if I like this author better than the ones above...(that would make her the best...I guess...) but I really like Alex Flinn...her books are just so good I love" Breathing Under Water ",is just so good...a page turner...the way she writes...is just great...

  7. Jeffrey Archer - The Prisoner of Birth - excellent author - easy to read book and you just can't put it down. Highly recommended.

  8. Hmm interesting question that because my favorite book isn't written by my favorite authors. My favorite authors are Harlen Coben, JK Rowling, Judy Blume and Roal Dahl. however my favorite book is either The Book Thief or Oliver Twist.

My favorite book from Harlen Coben is Tell No One because it's possibly one of the most intense books I've read. I like him because he can build suspense very well and can use humor.

From JK Rowling it's obviously Harry Potter and I have to admit that as a guilty secret.

From Judy Blume it's Tiger Eyes because that book makes me cry so much and I just love it. I love Judy Blume because she writes down teenagers emotions very well and she knows what she's talking about.

From Roal Dahl it's either Boy (His autobiography) or Charlie and the Chocolate factory. Mainly because he's such a magical writer he makes you excited about you're reading.

I realize I've over complicated things but never mind lol

  9. May as well throw Tolstoy out there.

  10. Stephenie Meyer is an amazing writer

    i loved her "Twilight" series

My favorite book would be Eclipse

but i would love if she switched points of views in all of her books except twilight cuz i like Jacob's POV the best

please answer mii question ppl :)

  11. There's no such thing as the 'best author' it's all a matter of opinions. However, my favourite author is J.K Rowling.. :)

  12. I can't rightly claim him to be the best author, because I've only read his one book and also because different authors dominate separate genres, while others complement each other's work, and can't be judged as to who is the best out of all of them, but Catch-22 is my favorite book of all time. It's bitingly satirical and hilarious at the same time.

As for my favorite comedy, that goes to Douglas Adams' Hitchhiker's Guide series.

Those who emphatically and blindly claim Stephanie Meyers to be "the best author ever" because of her Twilight series that only appeals to teens are seriously mistaken...

  13. James Herbert wrote a book by the name of haunted. It is really written well and scary.Once you start you cannot put it down.

  14. "Who is the best author?" is a subjective question and has no right answer. One of my favorite authors is Michael Crichton. My favorite book by him is his autobiography Travels. Of his novels, I like Timeline the best.

Other authors I like are James Clavell, Isaac Asimov, J.K. Rowling, Arthur C. Clarke, and Peter David.
