  1. Please change the question to "who is Gordieboy09's favorite hockey player of all time" then.

and judging by the name it's Gordie Howe!!

  2. OK I won't say Wayne Gretsky.....how about Billy Smith??

  3. OK, I won't say it's Wayne Gretsky (but it is)

  4. there is no way to get around it, Gretz is the best of all time many of his records may never be broken.  Come on look how many records he holds how is he not the best of all time?

  5. Well, Wayne Gretzky is "The Greatest Hockey Player" of all time.

Excerpt for emphasis: Nicknamed "The Great One", Gretzky was called "the greatest player of all time" in Total Hockey: The Official Encyclopedia of the NHL.[2] He is generally regarded as the best player in history

  6. Super Mario Lemieux

  7. Ummm sorry it IS Gretsky.

  8. Its a tie........Bret Hull and Steve Yzerman where both great hockey players but if i had to chose between the two Stevie Y all the way the guy was brillant a great Captain and amazing player.

  9. Maurice Richard

  10. well Gretsky's nickname is the great one, second best is Lemieux or Howe

  11. I personally think Mario Lemieux, he played while undergoing cancer treatments, and still managed to win two stanley cups. If he's not the best he's in second to Gretzky.

  12. Gordie Howe is the best there ever was and will be, even if you put Gretzky in the mix.

  13. The Great One, The game was changed due to his performance always being so much better then everyone else.  When a sport changes it's rules because of one player, well then they are the best player ever.

  14. Sorry but Wayne is the best of all time

  15. If you can't say wayne gretzky it doesn't really make sense...cause he was the best of all time, Second i guess would be Howe

  16. BOBBY ORR ON THE BOSTON BRUINS A LONG TIME AGO.

  17. Gordie, all time, did it all, scored, hit, fought plus for his and our era, he had longevity playing a differnet type of hockey.

Wayne scored, set up teammates and scored

Maurice scored and scored and led Montreal to several Cups.

  18. there are many if i don't say gretzky but he is the best he got most points and records like that but i do agree with the Maurice Richard answer he is one of the greatest hockey players ever if i cant name Gretzky

  19. I think when its all said and done, Lidstrom will be the best defenseman to ever play the game.

  20. Wayne Gretzky IS the greatest player of all time. What kind of stupid question is this?

  21. ok, then Jarome Iginla, he is an all round player and leader.

  22. OK, Wayne Gretzky, then.  I don't know who Gretsky is.

  23. The Best by far is ROY.

Just ask Wayne about how he felt seeing Roy Parade the Cup in front of him in 92. Didn't Roy get the Conne Smyth that year too?

    Best Goalie, Best Player...

He might be a basket case now, but when he played it was undisputed...

  24. Wayne Gretzky is the obvious choice and not just because his nickname was the Great One.  His career speaks for itself.   Sorry about the "don't say his name" comment, but he is the only true choice and I'm sure that most real hockey fans agree.

Howe would be a close second.

  25. If I can't say Wayne Gretsky I'll have to say Wayne Gretzky followed by in no particular order Bobby Orr and Gordie Howe.
