In my personal opinion I think Sagittarius is better for an Aries. The same applies with Leo. The reason I say this is because Aries and Leo are a lot alike in many ways. Their very proud and have strong personalities. Leo likes to be the boss and so does Aries. Sagittarius is a lot more laid back out of all the fire signs and I think this is what Leo and Aries need. I'm a Sagittarius and my longtime boyfriend is a Leo. It's a very good match and were very compatible. We balance each other out.
