I think it stands as ECW in honor of the massive contributions that Paul Heyman made to the industry, independently and within in the WWE. He was a talent manager, a general manager, a promoter and I think that the McMahon's recognize that. So, as long as the ECW resurrection exists, I don't expect it to change the name at anytime.

EDIT: Let us not forget. The original ECW had some really crappy matches, as well. And not all of them were contested under the hardcore blanket.

At least I think they should change the meaning of the E in ECW, you're right, they're not Extreme anymore, current ECW pales in comparison of what ECW used to be when they were an Independent promotion.

well we r soooo used to ecw and it sounds way better than pcw... as long as its the same people giving the same awsome proformance than im ok wit either one...

good point but why not just make it a 24 hour network and add all promotions into the fold like they currently doing for footall.

am ahh no wwe ruined wcw and they ruined ecw vince sucks that was the only reason he bought wcw and the only reason he bought ecw aswell is to destroy it he tried buy tna but they dint sell
