Prior to today I though McCain had a slight edge.

Falling gas prices stopped helping Obama

The Russia/Georgia crisis definitely helps

For some as yet unknown reason the Democrats always fall in the polls right before the election.

That was before today.

Palin is a home run.  She has the social and fiscal conservatives stoked.  A lot of them probably would have no showed the election.

Because his energy policy is still better than Obama's and all the naysayers about ending the war in Iraq were wrong.  (It was really funny to listen to Obama try to take credit for ending the war)

My Dem friends that were big time HIllary supporters decided on McCain before the VP announcement. My conservative friends who were undecided are now firm on McCain. His choice impressed me. A bold move. That's what I want from a president. I was also undecided. I will be voting for McCain and I think he will likely win but I do believe it will be a close race
