there was plenty of scepticism about the appointment and the money the blues payed but his stats are as goog as they have ever been and financially he's going to pay for himself in new members, corporate interest, and merchandise in which its the first blues jumper ever produced with the number all ready on it rather than having your number of choice put on the back.

  1. He made Carlton money even before he stepped onto the field

By the end of the year he would have made up for what they spent on him

    .

  2. I never doubted he wouldn't be a big asset on and off the field and good for him.

  3. Well, there was a Herald Sun article today saying Judd's stats are the same as those when he was playing his best footy at West Coast. I personally don't think Carlton really need him, I mean, he isn't winning games for them. He has helped his team, but any other midfielder in place of Judd wouldn't have made a difference, they were always going to do better this year, Judd or not.

  4. Yes he is proving to be valuable which is great for him and the Blues, especially when you think about how many other players moved clubs at the pinnacle of their careers and then fell in a heap.

  5. He's a pretty good investment for carlton and my supercoach team

  6. He's playing good footy at the moment, and if he stays injury free and gets a good pre season next year i think he'll be playing even better.

I think he's been a good investment for the Blues

  7. Juddy will be a good investment for any team he joins. He is one super player. At the moment he is in hot form and he'll continue it if Carlton are any chance of getting into the finals.

  8. Agreed.. But I didnt ever think that was ever a question!?

Obviously WA media didnt show the true speculation of his move..?

My hubby barracks for Carlton and so I may b a little brain washed at wat a great investment this was for the blues, but I really dont think hes left any room for sceptics now half way thru the season, even if they werent in the top8 yet..

  9. Yeh he is worth it.

  10. Let's face it - even if he only plays mediocre, the sheer morale boost and club boost of having him there will pay off for Carlton. Just think about jerseys sold, etc.

  11. Yeah OK, I was a sceptic.  I think he's started to fit in well.  BUT, .... BUT, Forky, the Blues have not won a flag yet.  In the longer term I think if Judd doesn't help them win a flag the interest will wane very quickly.  Carlton need to win back a supporter base that wants to see more than the Pies clash.  They're doing 'OK' at the moment but are they even in the eight?

(I was impressed with their efforts against the Pies, but I reckon they rely too much on one guy and a few very light bodies in the ruck who seem to ruck in a very predictable way for weedy guys. Other clubs will now be studying video of that and they'll watch the little feign and avoidance of contact and do something about it pretty quick smart.  Credit where it's due tho - the other clubs will take them seriously now!!)

  12. They are in the eight can't be a bad thing  they are playing better than last year they always had potential just had to put altogether and someone like judd does the finishing touches,

  13. yes i actually agree here. earlier in the year i was saying that he was completely over-rated and so, but lately he has really proved to be a great recruit. very nice pickup for the blues. im stoked that they are in the 8, they deserve it

  14. I didn't realise Juddy's move caused such a stir inthe east! (Guess I was to busy sulking that he was gone....)

I reckon he will pay for himself many times over providing he stays as injury free as possible.  I still find it amazing the stir one person with a bit of talent can make!! Do you think he feels the power???

  15. Me!   But there's definitely one thing I like about Chris Judd being at Carlton.   Besides the obvious that is.   And that is while everyone is concentrating on shutting him out of the game,   other players like Stevens,  Carrazzo,  Bentick, Gibbs and Co are able to gain more possessions.   Carrazzo's 42 disposals against the Eagles in Round 7 is a classic example.  The impact the man has on the club,  both directly and indirectly,  proves he's worth every cent.

    Carn the Blues!!
