Scientific data over the last 100 years proves that overall the earth is warming, however, this causes some places to have cooler climates because of the change in weather patterns due to overall global warming.  Besides noone can prove global warming is not occurring, yet conservatives claim global warming is a scam so they can make money from the oil companies who strangely enough fund most of the conservative politicians.

i wouldnt call it a scam but what industries are doing is. they are creating these "green" products and selling them for more than they are worth. global warming and or cooling could be going on but peole have got very little effect on it. there have been fluctuattions in the cimate naturaly since  the earth began.

Global warming is NOT a scam. We as humans have abused what the world has given us. I know that it's not all from cars, because they only account for 13% of greenhouse gas emissions. However, that is too much. We need to not only change our habits in cars by using BioDesil vehicles or hybrids, but use solar and wind power, farm organically, and also make sure not to overgraze our pastures. Once a pasture is dead, the plants release their stored Co2 and it is released into the atmosphere.

However, the planet goes through cycles of warm and cold, and we are on the warming trend, so it would be happening anyway, but our excessive emissions are speeding the proscess.

Even if Global Warming is often exaggerated, it is good that more and more people are becoming more aware of the toll that we take on the planet.

Global warming is a natural phase of Earth, caused by some Solar Activities by Sun. We human don't have to bother about it. Some of the environmentalist says that this is because of the CO2 we are emitting into the environment, but the reality is that we are just contributing towards 1% to 10% of actual global warming.

If the actual cause of Global Warming is CO2 emitted by the humans then why Global Warming occures on other planets. Just Google for "Global Warming on other planets" and see the results, there are no humans on other planets.

Having too little CO2 in the environment will cause for the plants to die more early, more over it also cools down the temperature on earth.

Having too much CO2 (obiviously, not caused by humans. Mostly generated in the Sea/Oceans) will lead to Green House effect and will lead in increasing the temperature on Earth.

So, the best is to plant more trees so that there would be a balance for the consumption of CO2 on the planet.

I personally think that instead of thinking on this baseless issue try to think on what if Nuclear War broke out in the world, it will destroy Earth more rapidly.

So, next time whenever somebody says you about global warming, just ignore it.

I believe it. Why? Because 99% of the scientists, climate experts, and meteorologists in the world believe in it, and they know more about it than you and I do. What is more, the majority of the miniscule doubters in the scientific community are paid by oil companies. Hmm...

I think it is time that ordinary people stop pretending like they know whether or not global warming is real or not. We make it a political issue, but the fact remains: the only people who really know say it is a real issue. Besides, I have not heard a single argument for anyone to suggest why 99% of the scientists who know this stuff would lie about it. What would be their motivation? It is not like they can't get funding to study other things. There is no basis for thinking it is a scam. Why do you believe strongly that it is? I already know the answer, and it is not science. It is politics.

Look at how the pro AGW crazies react to opposing views. They fear open debate and resort to name calling. People who fear open debates fear for a reason. I recently went to an Al Gore supported, "Cliamte Project", presentation. It really was quite pathetic. The presenter was nice enough, but knew nothing other than what was on the slide. I asked several pointed questions (of which I already knew the answers), and had to answer all the questions myself as she had no idea. The entire presentation was based on, do not debate the science, only debate how much money we can extract from the public in the form of Carbon Taxes.
