Who aids and abets border crossers in their first days/weeks?

Churches. For some reason the killing of 10,000+ people yearly in the US by illegal aliens doesn't bother them!

Maybe the churches are owned by big business as well as the government. Instead of helping people in their own country the churches bring them here for cheap labor for big business! Big donations and the churches throw away their morales and take the cash!
