  1. It depends where you go. Some African countries are having a civil war so avoid those places!

Namibia, Botswana, Mozambique and South Africa are amazing places! Zimbabwe is too but I'd not go there right now with all the trouble.

  2. South Africa is fabulous.

  3. Africa's a continent! One of the BIG ones... can't really sum it up in one sentence... ok, I'll give it a go... What is it like? It's nice.

  4. I went on a safari in Tanzania last year.  It was the best trip I have ever taken.  Our guide was Maasai, and he was superb.

  5. I went to Niger and was kidnapped by Tuareg.

  6. I spent 7 months living in Malawi, at a secondary school.  I can honestly say they were the best 7 months of my life.  The people I met were the friendliest I have ever encountered.  Africa somehow manages to look bigger than the UK - I'm not sure how it does it, it just seems to go on and on and on.

Of course, Africa IS a continent and unfortunately some of it is being torn apart by civil war, corrupt leadership and natural catastrophes.  I would really encourage you to visit those countries that you can though, because seeing people with so little offering such a welcome really makes you realise how incredibly lucky everyone here is.

From what I have seen, Africa is amazing.

  7. My friend went to Africa. She went to Botswana, south Africa and zambia. She went on 8 safari trips and saw 52 different types of animals. She LOVED it. Make sure to bring a video camera!
