Question

I was born in Australia & played for my country, NSW & Lancashire.My specialty was as a bowler, & I captained NSW in the Sheffield Shield for several years. I influenced 2 of Australia's future captains who played under me, to be aggressive leaders. After retirement I went on to do commentary & reporting for different media outlets. I received the AOM for services to sport,also the ASM award. I also trained in a certain profession. Who am I, what city/town was I born in & what is my profession.?

Geoffrey Francis Lawson, Born on December 7, 1957 in Wagga Wagga, New South Wales . He is a former Australian cricketer and the current coach of the Pakistan cricket team.

Geoffrey Francis Lawson..DEC 7Th 1957.. Wagga Wagga NSW....was an optometrist..made international debut in 1980/81..

he received him AOM in 1990 for his services to cricket and then received his ASM in  2002..he graduated from university of NSW with a bachelor of optometry...
