    He died in 1977, he also umpired after he finished playing cricket (and he once caused a sensation by refusing to take to field, after a West Indies player questioned his decisions)

    The record is that he scored a double century in each innings for Kent against Essex in Colchester. He made 244 in the 1st innings and an unbeaten 200 in the next innings.
