Question:

Who am I (repost in different section)?

Most people answer with a simple, expected answer such as "Just be yourself." The real question that people wonder is "How?" How do you know who you are. Personally, me, I haven't a clue. I wake up having no clue who I really am at heart. It haunts me even, I want to just be who I am, but I'm not sure who that person is. Do we all feel this way, or is there some way to detect the "real" me?

Btw, it's not like I haven't looked at what I have and what I don't, how I act, etc. I just can't really put my finger close to who I could be, because every answer is a question or has more than 1 answer (generally contradictory)

  1. well there is some sort of saying stating that your true character comes out in danger... so until your in danger (eg: a bank is being robbed and your there... or your stuck on an island... (i know those examples are totally outlandish but you get the idea, i hope) or etc.) so i figure you never really find out your true character until that dangerous moment happens... i just say " be who you think you are and if it doesn't feel right, change yourself"

  2. At an abstract level, you are as insignificant as a grain of sand on the beach, indistinguishable from even your closest compatriots.

But, your essence, your being, can also be perceived to be as large as the universe, because you are the universe, in a sense.

And, If you break yourself down into your quantum parts, you are packaged from the same type of quantum bits which make up all particles and waves in the universe.  Your physical essence is unique only because of the subtle differences in the packaging.

To me, what makes you unique is your consciousness and your awareness of the world around you.  How you perceive the world determines who you are, imho.
