  1. Ravi Bopara - improving every day.

Irfan Pathan - Always doing his job quietly. Not doing so well these days. Something going wrong somewhere.

Sohail Tanvir - besides IPL, I remember Delhi. He took Sourav's wicket among others.

  2. I think it will be Stuart Broad.  Young, great attitude, but already shown he has good temperament with the bat.

Shane Watson pretty impressive too, but not as young as Broad.

  3. When I first saw Bopara, I wasn't impressed. He seemed to be a bit of a jack-of-all-trades, and master of none. However, when he got into the ODI side, his temperament under pressure impressed me. He batted particularly well with Broad to win a game against India. Hos form in County cricket this season, with both bat and ball, has been excellent.

Watson seems to have been around forever, he broke into the Australian side when he was so young. His bowling has improved with age, and he has the ability to score big hundreds. he is also an exceptional fielder.

Bravo is another who seems to have been around forever, and he is even younger than Watson. He is one of the few shining lights of West Indian cricket. Bravo strikes me as being one of those players who if he concentrated on just one discipline, either batting or bowling, would be an exceptional player.

Pathan: Started his career with a bang, but appears to have gone off the boil in recent times. The fact he has opened for India demonstrates how good a batsman he can be.

Albie Morkel: May have to live in the shadow of brother Morne. Huge slogger with the bat, not quite good enough with the ball at Test level. Could be a powerhouse in ODI games.

Tanvir: A very good bowler, who looks a handy bat. Not too sure about his all-round capabilities, but could be a useful number 8 or 9.

Broad: Although picked as a bowler, I suspect he will end up being picked more for his batting, especially if England pick five bowlers. he would be the fifth, to bring balance to the side.

Who will be the top all-rounder in coming years....?

Dwayne Bravo is probably the one who will emerge. Bopara will probably find batting is his stronger suit. Watson is too injury prone to ever be able to play enough games. Pathan will constantly be in and out of favour. Morkel is a bowler who can slog. Tanvir is primarily a bowler. Broad is a fourth seamer who can score useful runs.

Bravo is the only one who is a genuine all-rounder. The others all have one strong suit, with the other as a useful second string.

  4. ravi bopara-very average

shane watson-will probably be the best...most likely to

dwayne bravo-will be reasonably gud and improve a lot

irfan pathan-hmm he could go anywhere...seriously either he'll be one of the best along wid watson or he'll be like agrakar...in and out of the team

    albie morkel-same as bravo

sohail tanvir-think he'll be a gud bowler but not a great allrounder...sure he can shake a bat in 20-20 but othr than tht not much

stuart broad-he's a gud batsman but he's ok in wat he's supposed to do firstly..bowling....average

  5. sohail tanveer, y didnt u put afridi on your list

  6. There's a player called Chris Jordan playing for Surrey, he's only 20 years old, he can already bowl at close to 90mph and he bats at the top of the order in both first class & list A matches.

He looks like something special, and definitely a star in the future. The problem is that he has to decide whether he wants to play for the West Indies or England (because he is illegable for both) Although his heart lies with the West Indies

    Player Profile- http://content-uk.cricinfo.com/england/c...

Out of your list- Shane Watson

He bowls at high speeds, and averages 40 with the bat in domestic cricket, he could definitely make it as a batsmen alone, but his bowling is also underrated. He takes wickets and scores big runs, what else is there to say.

  7. Dear CJ,

    My opinion:

    1. Dwayne Bravo

    2. Stuart Broad

    3. Irfan Pathan

    4. Sohail Tanvir ( I want to see some more batting before commenting)

    Rehman of Multan

  8. I think Dwayne Bravo...........

he is superb with the bat and the ball.....I believe that he is under- rated

  9. bravo and watson for sure

    mat be broad to

  10. I think it would be Stuart Broad...

He is indeed quite impressive at the bat and just as impressive with the ball. He is tall, will get good bounce. With a bit of luck and hard work, I guess he'll be the one.

  11. Shane Watson.

  12. sohail tanvir.... simply mindblowing!!!

  13. i think Stuart Broad is the best of the lot in test cricket however in ODIs i feel Bravo will be the best !

  14. Stuart Broad and Shane Watson are sure to be the stars of the next ten years.

  15. I would say Albie Morkel. He is really a outstanding all-rounder & definitely,he will be in the top soon.

  16. I think it is Pathan when he will come into form

  17. My money would be on Stuart Broad as long as he doesn't let his batting detract from his bowling, as with any all rounder, striking a good balance between the two is of paramount importance, and with the right coaches, he can aim for the top, and he only needs to go as far as his dad to ask about batting.!
