  1. Good question, here are my answers:

Thomas Jones, RB, New York Jets: This guy has the talent to be one of the best in the league. He has the speed to run outside, the build to go up the middle, and the hands to run to the flats. However, he has never really had much to work with around him. That time is over. He now has an awesome O-line to run behind (D'Brickashaw Ferguson, Alan Faneca, Nick Mangold, Brandon Moore, Damien Woody) and also a QB who will take the pressure off of him in Brett Favre. While people are keeping a close eye on Brett, Jones will be running circles around them on the field.

Michael Turner, RB, Atlanta Falcons: Well, he has absolutely nothing to work around him. However, he has the skills to be a great RB in this league but due to LT's dominance, Michael has never been able to show it. I think he will run the ball with great attack and I see him putting up great numbers. Hopefully Matt Ryan can take some sort of attention off of him though.

Reggie Bush, RB, New Orleans Saints: Reggie obviously has the physical talent and ability needed to be good. He also has the team around him that can show off that talent. However, he has never gotten the full chance to take complete advantage of it. Now is that time. He is the starter, and now that he has a few years experience in the league, I think he knows what it takes to be dominant. The best part about him, is that he is able to take advantage of his knowledge because he has unbelievable talent. Look for a big year out of him.

There are others that could easily make the list, but these are the ones I really like. Look for these three RB's to have great seasons.

  2. calvin johnson

    fred taylor

    vince young

  3. I think Jonathan Stewart, Donovan McNabb and Deshan Jackson will all have breakout seasons.

  4. Jay Cutler: Not only does he have two years under his belt now, but he played all last season (and probably his entire football career) with untreated diabetes. With that under control, along with a big target in Brandon Marshall, I expect big things from him.

Santonio Holmes: Also entering his third year, Holmes has already become a great big-play threat in Pittsburgh. Hines Ward should still attract the number one cornerback (and deservedly so) leaving Holmes with less talented defenders.

Laurence Maroney: Knowing Bill Belicheck and the Pats, I doubt that they will continue with the same ridiculously pass-heavy offensive (especially considering the Giants, and other teams towards the end of the year, learned how to shut it down). Maroney has shown flashes of talent, and I expect him to be incorporated more into an offense whom defenders might not be expecting the run from.

  5. maurice jones drew

    alex smith

    calvin johnson

  6. calvin johnson

    rashard mendenhall

    micheal vick.

  7. I'd have to say Jay Cutler from Denver, Marshawn Lynch from the Bills and Jonathan Stewart from Carolina.  I know Lynch and Cutler are big names already but I think they're primed for a big year.

I also like Roddy White from the Falcons, it's too bad his team is such a mess.

  8. Marian Barber...He will be sharing the spotlight again but with the rookie Felix Jones.  I'd watch Felix as well!

Patrick Crayton...I was a little nervous about him as he had the 'dropsies' for the past few years but I think this is his year!

Bobby Carpenter...the linebacker hasn't shown what he's capable of but I think Jerry Jones is looking to him to support Zach Thomas with that job...

  9. drew brees -  because he has a new pro bowler TE jeremy shocky along with macus colston plus they have a running threat which means the defense cant focus on passing to much.

vince young - my favorite player can run pass and everything. and he isnt on the madden cover so he is going to do good (madden curse).  He also got a pretty good receiver, alge crumpler.

ADRIAN PETERSON - i know he is already great but this year he will be even better because he has an amazing offensive line this year.  On his rookie year his o line sucked and he still broke records. I cant wait to see what he will do with a good one.

please make this the best answer
