Who are better Mexican boxers or filipino?

First off we should appreciate the Philippino fighters for their contributions to the game. Many good points have been made by all of these readers but also some bad ones. From the 154 pounds down boxing has been pretty much dominated by the Mexicans & above that by the brotha's. As far as PB (Philippines Boxers) against MB (Mexican Boxers) the Mexicans are to many in numbers to compare, but lets compare the top PB.

Obviously MP is 1st, he beat Morales & Barrera who where both over the hill when they met but do you remember a young Morales who beat MP. Then MP fought JMM who got a draw the 1st time & then was given a win against JMM in the 2nd fight. Most viewers including his own people at the fight thought JMM won this rematch?

Remember all the big coming home parties for MP after each victory back home? well not a peep after this last fight.

The next super star for the PB was Ray "Boom Boom" Baoutista who got knocked out by the worst MB of the bunch in Ponce De Leon?

Z "The Dream" Gorrez was beat by Fernando Montiel in his home state.

Diosdado Gabi was just knocked out by Abner Mares. But lets be fair on this fight Gabi took this fight without properly training, I don't think he has it in him anymore. Besides he is really a Flyweight at best.

AJ Banal & Barnabe Conception are still left but still untested.

I guess that I sound one sided but I am only pointing out the facts. Now there are also small black fighters who are good but they are out numbered so it isn't fair to compare them & vise versa hardly any big MB's.

Zaheer Rahim beat the c**p out of Morales so I think he deserves a mention even though he fell off after that. The bottom line is I appreciate that the fighters mentioned & those still to come have given us good quality fights & have busted their a$$es off doing so even in defeat & I am talking about both the Mexicans & Philippinos.

Lets not make this a racist column by saying who is better, lets just appreciate all of these guys who put in the work as well as all fighters period... THIS IS THE GREATES SPORT!!.

Historically there have been more great Mexican fighters than Filipino fighters.  Cuerrently I'd still say Mexican fighters are a nose ahead of their Filipino counterparts.

Neither  the best a pygmies.........ok, ok on the real it just depends on the fighter not the race,creed, or color...it's his fortitude,skill, and desire...people have been on this race thing since adolf hitler tried to creat an uber-man.....only to get his hopes dashed by Joe Louis, Jesse Owens black atheletes who was traeted badly in the sports....(Joe became) the american hero after that but prior he was segregated against......... so if your Mexican and you love your Mexican fighters be proud of that or if your Fillipino love your Fillipino fighters but really LOVE the ART OF BOXING over all

Your question is not specific enough. Filipino fighters are great at Super featherweight and below that's it. When was the last welter, or light weight champion for that matter ? Exactly. So if your question is what nationality has more champions in more weight division the obvious answer is..... Mexicans.

Filipinos idolize Pacquiao, and they make him seem like a god. He's good, but he is not as great as the best Mexican fighters. He did not prove to be better than Juan Manuel Marquez.
