People who don't want to see things in reality.

People who are not open to new ideas.. who have prejudices and are not willing to let themselves be convinced that their prejudices are unfounded and illogical.. they keep holding on to their beliefs no matter if it's all wrong or not..  that's a close minded person.. it's their way.. or no way at all .. if someone finds a different way of doing something more efficiently a close minded person will still insist it's done the way he or she was taught.. x*x

People who are set or fixed in their beliefs ( or ways) and will not open their minds to any new ideas.

Another aspect of this, is like my 81 yr old mom.  She doesnt know how to pump gas, because dad always did it.

I showed her its just like a garden hose... but (even tho easy) she just goes " I dont know.  Maybe ( my brother) can come do it "  

Drives me crazy.

Her mind is closed that she will not learn.

Are you asking for particular people or what close minded people are like? Well, they're basically people who refuse to consider other points of view other than their own.
