If you see the current scenario in India where inflation is more than 8%, it is always advisable to invest the money in some good ventures where more returns are expected.

People save money for getting good returns in future. like in Fixed deposits 8 %, PPF 8% etc. With the inflation above 8%, people won't get any return on the investment for which they save the money.

In times of inflation borrow money to spend, as in future you will be shelling out down valued (cheap) money to pay the loans. Your money, you invest in land or shares if they come good. If currency is becoming stronger or prices are in check don't borrow your own deposits in the banks might appreciate and increase in purcahsing power with time.

Also never keep in one currency but rotate it chasing the best currency.

If u give choice between the two then its the 1st one. Otherwise, you should spend money for which u r earning!

One should have own limitations in spending w.r.t. one's earning capacity.

Certainly one should save for exigencies,but not so much that your sons become brats like many of our politicians' offsprings.
