  1. There ain't none.  All these so-called champions, Klitschko, Samuel Peter, Valuev are mediocre by any standards.  Even a 41-year old Tyson, if he's well-trained and in a right frame of mind, could demolish these patsies anytime.

  2. the big show the great kale johnceana

  3. The Klitscho brothers are the best heavyweight boxers in the world today by quite a bit, but watch out for David Haye coming up from cruiserweight.

  4. To be honest, there is only one.  Sadly, Wlad Klitschko.  This guy has all the physical gifts but has got his title by basically beating up nobody's.  If he fought a prime Holyfield he would lose very badly.  If he even fought a prime Michael Moore he would get clowned on.

Samuel Peter has promise but he was outclassed by James Toney in one fight but rebounded in another.  I am sorry but if you can be almost beaten (I scored the fight 117-111 for Toney) by an overblown, 39-year-old ex-middleweight then you are not a top-tier elite heavyweight.

Calvin Brock had promise but he was just a tomato can in disguise.  Nikolai Valuev is a 7-foot-2 waste of space.  He held a version of the title for awhile.  Even though Wlad is considered a unified champ I believe he has the IBF crown and the WBO crown.  The WBO crown is not worth much but a trinket.  Ruslan Chagaev is undefeated but he has only fought Valuev and a 45-year-old Holyfield.

I really don't see any ray of light for this division.  If it is cleaned out by Klitschko it will be interesting again but his chin is way too weak.

This isn't like the early 90's when we had great fights happening all the time.  You had the likes of Lewis, Tyson, Holyfield, Ray Mercer, George Foreman, and even Tommy Morrison (don't laugh, his career record is 46-3 and he won 10 rounds off of George Foreman before he beat Michael Moore).  The best heavyweight fights of the 90s took place when Holyfield was fighting and that day will never return.

  5. The retired ones. Sorry there are no good heavyweights today. best does not belong in a sentence to shambling sloths who would not be middle ranks in a decent heavyweight decade.

  6. Wladimir Is The Best Available.  If He Fought Any One Like A Foreman Or Tyson----------He's Toast.

  7. Here is how I rate them as far as top of the HW division.  Combination of skills & accomplishments.

    1. Wladimir Klitschko

    2. Ruslan Chagaev

    3. Sam Peter

    4. Alexander Povetkin

    5. Nikolay Valuev

    6.Vladmir Virchis

    7. Tony Thompson

    8. Juan Carlos Gomez

    9. John Ruiz :(

    10. David Haye (when he moves up)

In the future look for Eddie Chambers, Chris Arreola, & Odlanier Solis as the best prospects

  8. the heavyweight division hasnt been exciting since Lennox-Holyfeild-Tyson-Foreman-Klitchko[... few years back]...I rather

    watch strawweights.........lol

  9. wladimir klitchko, samuel peter, nikolay valuev, tony thompson and suprisingly john ruiz. the division is so talentless now that any boxer who at least tries to give a decent effort is considered one of the best. the thing that links these fighters named are the facts that they all have a true desire to win and not just show up for a paycheck(golotta,brewster,liakohovich,im... they all had to fight through tough times and adversity to make what names they have of themselves now. no promoter induced championship fight and they all have defeats that didn;t end their career(brewster,Byrd). they are not in any fashion top off all time but they are the best right now

  10. there are none you have the glass jaw brothers at the top of the pile the last great heavyweight champion was Evander real deal Holifield
