Who are some of the strangest people you have played golf with at a golf course?

I played today with an 80 year old couple that held hands on almost every hole going down the fairway . [we walked it ] On the 10 th hole we saw the people finishing on 18 in their mini-atv carts .They were w/o legs ! One guy was one armed !! It just goes to show you where there is a will there is a way . I do not mean for this to be negative , it was a beautiful day yesterday .

One cannot call the couple I played with " strange ' That implies "Weirdo ". I would call the couple unique. This was in Florida about seven years ago at Dodger Pines in Vero Beach. As a single, I called for a starting time and was told that a couple  had a back nine time at 12:15 which I joined. The man was a stately looking gentleman who looked around 85 and the lady , a beautiful matron, sharp as a tack. After teeing off the lady said, " You probably won't enjoy playing with us. He's 94, has a wooden leg and doesn't hit the ball as well as he did. I'm 88 and can only see out of one eye, so he has to keep an eye for my ball. Between us we do O.K." The day was an absolute joy, just to see them participating and enjoying the outing. He had been a Senior Vice President in the Auto industry. She had been a superintendent of schools in a Michigan town in greater Detroit.

And I once turned up at a course in Las Vegas on my own to play a round of golf. I rented everything and was told that the person I was playing with was waiting in the buggy, when I got to the buggy it was Ian Poulter!! He destroyed me!!

I've played golf with a deaf person who never left my side as he didn't know if someone was shouting "Fore"!! That was quite kooky!!
