  1. I'm new to this yahoo question/answer thing

I hate to sound conceited but after reading some answers to many questions, I'd consider myself in the top. Some people just need more knowledge/personal experience before answering.

  2. My favourites are:

    Bess

    DaisyKJ

    Sara

    redial

    Donna R

    Black Bunny

    &

    ♣///Paige\\\♣

  3. I've got my personal favorites and I don't feel there is anything wrong with naming them. These are people who are consistently giving good, educated advice.

There are ALWAYS new knowledgeable people coming on and offering what they know, I'll only name the ones I've known to be consistant in their answers day to day...

    Black Bunny

    Mulereiner

    Blue Sage Badger

    Ayla B

    Freedom Rider

    Ibbibud

    Soveriegn7

    Bobbi

    Rosi M

    Daisy KJ

    American

    Ajierene

    Paintgirl

    Jeff Saddler

    john r

    Lisa M

These are the ones i can count on for a good answer... I've seen some new and upcoming answerer's that are great too, but i haven't seen enough of their answers to say they are consistant.

  4. hey is youre name Kiran... haha if so i think I know you.. :)

theres some dodgy people on here but feel free to ask me anything

im a dressage rider and trainer

it depends what type of question thoughs

  5. Well I always enjoy Kevin H's entertaining questions and I trust Rosie M's answers.  I also appreciate Sovereign7's good answers.  Haven't seen Mulereiner on here recently, but liked his sensible answers.  Lots of good knowledgeable people....too many to list!

  6. lol Its a pretty amusing place some of the questions on here are umm... interesting and the answers are either the ROFL type or the serious ones... but I like to read the questions/answers of

    Redial

    Black Bunny

    Blue sage badger

    Ziggy

    eqquus241

    (Storm?)

There are a lot of other funny and informative people on here too...

Sorry... I tried not to name names but it was to hard...

Don't feel bad if I didn't mention you... I just rambled off some names... if you really want I could try and mention all of the regulars but that would be a long list!!... lol

Edit: I think between everyone that listed names pretty much got most of the people that are on here everyday...

  7. The people who genuinely have something to offer, who try to help others to learn what they have learned, and who can back up their answers with legitimate reasons...experience....are the ones I believe are the best answerers.

I do respect anyone who has tried a method and can explain what happened to make them decide it was faulty before they get on here and tell others that it is not worthy.

I don't respect anyone who offers medical advice when they clearly have no clue, and especially if they pass themselves off as professionals.  I'll elaborate on this one because it made my blood boil when one answerer was passing herself off as a veterinarian 3 months ago, then yesterday I noticed she called herself a vet student but gave an answer that was , to an actual medical professional such as I am, obviously not coming from a vet student.  So I looked up her answers and lo and behold, found that she now claims to be in vet school, but 3 months ago claimed to be a vet making $200,000 a year.  People listen to her responses, thinking they are getting advice from a pro....that stuff I have no tolerance for.

I wouldn't think of naming people...that's too high school in my opinion.  Anyone on here may be best answerer on one question, and stink on the next.  I don't play that game.

Kiki...thanks...when they're out to get you, you've got 'em on the run.

  8. Depends on the question! There are a lot of very knowledgeable people here - but there are also a lot of ignorant arrogant idiots. My favourites are the folk who know what they're talking about, but will quickly admit when they don't have a clue :)

  9. There are a few I really enjoy hearing from and a lot of great, knowledgeable people. I think everyone has something positive to offer.

Well of course there's the exception of the morons who blurt out BS and the trolls, but in between all that we have some smart, knowledgeable and funny people.

As I've been on here more, I've discovered a few of my favorites and the ones I look forward to hearing from.

I know there are TONS more, and If I haven't named you please don't take offense, I probably just can't remember... There are just so many great ones out there. I may not have 'discovered' your greatness yet, I've just joined and haven't quite figured everyone out.

    **Edit**

LOL! BB, If i said 'peeps' my daughters would just role their eyes at me and give me that "mooooooooom!!" thang. They hate it when I try to act 'hip'. Or what would they say? 'chill', yeah, I hear that one a lot. Haha

    Great answer by the way.

I've quit trying to convince them of that fact. they'll understand one day... When their kids start doing it to them.

    **Edit**

I keep comming back to this question and everytime i feel so guilty for naming people individually, it's not like me. =/ Because I'm sure there are people I'm leaving out... I decided to delete all the names. *I know, AFTER everyone has probably already read it, right?* I like SO many people on here it doesn't seem fare to leave some of the deserving ones out because of my lack of memory.

  10. Everyone gives really good anwsers but they are some people that try to be smart a** but you have to over look them. They are some people that gives better anwsers on worming than what they would on shoeing......lol but then again they are some people that can give a good anwser on anything you ask.

  11. I'm very new here and see alot of good horse people really try to help and show their knowledge by answering in an honest and informative way.

I take someones questions very seriously and give what in my opinion is what I've learned through experience and is reliable to the best of my knowledge.  Although once said it is basically someones opinion...and you know what those are!!

But what I find really scary is a very green horse person rely on some of the answers that are completely incorrect.  How would they know what is right or wrong and why they wouldn't seek the advice from someone closer to home if you know what I mean.

I'll admit that I don't have patience some times and just can't believe some of the questions asked...I like to be helpful..but some of the questions are just ridiculous and show that persons laziness and ignorance.  I have found that you get out what you put into something and some of these people are looking for the easy way out.

I find many of the answers not to be from experience or the heart but from cutting and pasting...not that they didn't make the effort...but I'd rather see a new idea or new method rather than something that I've read a million times before.

Overall though, you begin to see the intellegent, truthful, answers coming from the been there done that people and the ones that are full of it trying to be something that they obviously are not

    and just trying to impress.

Just my 2 cents... Enjoy it though...I am!!

  12. It depends on what is being asked...

There are alot of knowledgeable people here.  I wouldn't DREAM of answering a dressage question.  I know what an English saddle LOOKS like...that's about the extent of my knowledge there.  I doubt I could even get it 'cinched up' correctly.

I'm not naming names this time...I kept forgetting people on the last question like this...and I felt bad about it.

Watch the answers and you'll find who YOU like.

A lot of knowledgeable people don't have the 'top contributor' badge either.  We have decided that the badge doesn't stand for knowledge...it stands for "YAHOO ADDICT!!"  Because if you don't post and answer all the time...you will lose it...we think...

Most of my 'advice' comes from personal experience.  I'm not real technical...but I know what works for me and my horses...

*Did I answer like a grown up this time??*  This is for my 'peeps.'  Ha ha...I used a tweenie word!  My children will be so proud!

**EDIt...I have my personal favorites and THEY KNOW WHO THEY ARE!!

I'm not naming names...I'm not, I'm not, I'm not!!!  *It's so hard not to*  Can I just post my contact list????  Even then, I don't have all of them.

**EDIt...You do have a point Zigs...my kids would most likely do the same to me.  They don't seem to understand that I wasn't always "Mom".  I was young once too...really...I was!  I have photos to prove it!!

    **EDIT...haha...Redial used the word "peeps"...

And gallop has a good answer...

**EDIt...I'm learning from the 'master'...oh mighty babbling one!  Yes, I saw that other one...you're a birdie lover...aren't you??

  13. I have noticed ALOT of very informative, and entertaining answers (and questions) on the horse section of Y!A. A couple people I do know who give very informational, and alot of the time, entertaining answers and/or questions are...

    Black Bunny

    Kevin H

I don't really remember alot of people, though, because when I look at the answers and/or questions, I dont really take note of the person asking or posting it, I just enjoy having a laugh or gaining more knowledge.

  17. redial leaves all the random and funny questions around haha

  18. There are actually a lot of people on here to whom I would turn to for help when I needed it.

It's really hard to name them, mainly because there are so many.  I answered a question like this a few days ago & I felt bad because I forgot a few names & there are people who aren't on here much anymore & I forget about them as well.  So I will just say this, the ones whom I respect & who really know their stuff, those with a great sense of humor & those who give as good as they get are the BEST!!!

Sure hope ya'all know who you are!!!!

Sorry folks, too much beer at the BBQ today, that answer was uncharacteristicly diplomatic....LOL!!!

    **EDIT**

    awww shucks there Eqquus!!  ~blush~

It is an honor to be included in anyones list, because as Bunny & I have stated before, neither of us is into the technical stuff, we know what we know, we do what we do & have done it that way for ever, but it is always good to learn new things & it's also fun to get on here & pick on the people you like!!!!   LOL!!!

I'm basically one of those types of people who if I like you, I'll criticize & pester you.  HA HA HA!!!

    Learned that from my dad.

    **EDIT**

Gallop:  Is that little troll still skulking around or do you know?  Would like to red dot it.  It is not only stupid, but dangerous for ANYONE to claim they are a vet or physician or whatever & give advice on here where some of these people would actually believe it.  Good Catch!!

    *EDIT*

Now look who's babbling BB!!!  LOL!  Did you see my edit for the coffee question.

    **EDIT**

I guarantee that I will never use the terms peeps or homies.  I have used the term tweenies though.

My sons looked at me like I was from outer space.  I agree with ZB when she said some day her girls would understand. Someday, our boys will understand us old folks.

    **EDIT**

    Yup!  HA HA HA!!!

  19. Jason X i think his name was, he came on once said the funniest answer ever and disappeared...only to become a legend for weeks to come......(well a legend to me)

and here's the official list of my peeps/homies

    BB

    BSB

    RM

    ZB

    KH

    E

i'd write their full names, but isn't it funner (spell check says funner isn't a word) this way....good luck guessing

and i'm sure if i don't put Debi and Ayla down they'll hunt me down and kill me

it's making me feel a bit better seeing my name on nearly everyone's list....nearly...everyone's (looks accusingly at redial free lists)

ha ha i didn't even see you wrote that peeps thing..hahahaha etc...i slashed it...Aight dawg
