There are several and in many branches, it depends on what you are looking for: politicians, sportsmen, singers, etc. The first one whic comes to my mind is Simon Bolivar, who helped San Martin in liberating part of South America from Spain. Nowadays, someone infamous is the self elected president Hugo Chavez who God willing will leave the presidency soon. Singer? I love Franco de Vita.
