I'm asking in terms of quality rather than quantity...for example which fans are the rudest/have the least knowledge of the game/most annoying etc.

  1. Flyers are the best team in the NHL. And to Sara, DEVILS SUCK!

  2. New york

  3. Typically Flyers fans.  I've been to a few Devils/Flyers games in New Jersey and when the Flyers fans come here there are always fan fights.  They're all insanely drunk and rude too.  The Devils won 3-0 and the Flyers fans still yelled "DEVILS SUCK!!!" and they litter all over the arena more than any other teams' fans.  That doesn't even happen when the Rangers fans come.

They also do stuff that is just rude no matter where you are - like shoving little kids to get out of the arena, things like that.  Completely unnecessary.

  4. carolina hurricanes

  5. the lamest of all fans are the puck bunnies

  6. It doesn't matter which city. I think fair weather, bandwagon, entertainment, and drunken fans have no allegiance and thus don't deserve to be mentioned in the same breath as a true hockey fan.

They only attend games closest to home as a matter of logistical and financial convenience.

Conversely, one cannot say that any city has the best fans either. Because of the class acts that I have witnessed through the years it would be unfair to say that one city has it all over the rest.

I've encountered some really bad examples at Flyers home games, but for every one of them there are at least 100 that are great examples. So I don't condemn an entire fanbase due to a few idiots that are just asking for trouble.

  7. Puck bunnies, no matter where you go, are the absolute WORST fans ever. They bring giant signs that they wave around so you can't see the game, they talk on their cell phones and complain to their friends about being bored through the entire game, they try to make out with each other to get on TV when the Kisscam is on, and they dress like they're going to a frat party instead of a hockey game. Pink jerseys induce vomiting in the rest of the female hockey fans, and guess what they wear? Worst, Worst, WORST!

  8. Any fan that leaves there home arena before the end of the Game. So what your team is losing ....or so what.....your team won.....Stay and give them a round of applause when it's over for the show they put on for you whether good or bad.

  9. Tampa Bay. I've had friends from Philadelphia go to a TB home game and there were more Flyers fans than TB fans. Its embarrassing.

  10. Subhuman. He said guality over quantity. After the lockout a LOT of Bruins fans stopped watching games and a lot of other fans refuse to go to games until Jacobs is out, So yes the Bruins don't have much fans...but there are teams with less. And Bruins fans...that are actually fans are pretty knowledgable from what I've seen...we don't have bandwaggoners at all so that helps. Bill said it best, every team has idiot fans, but they also have a lot of great fans to go along with them.

And btw..game 6 I was there and there wasn't nearly as much Habs fans there...and all that were there got harrassed the entire game so don't worry about it guy.

  11. ducks

  12. Pittsburgh Penguins Fans they are the most annoying fans ever they only like that team because of sidney crosby over there

  13. The rude and arrogant Flyers fans are pretty annoying in my eyes.. But i'm not generalizing all of them. I've heard from friends that go to Flyer/Pen games that they get in pretty intense fights with the other teams fans... That's alright if it's all in good fun, but if you're really sending low blows because the other person is from a rival team, that's immature...

  14. the ones that post retarted @ss questions on here asking if Cindy Crosby is married or how to score a goal in NHL '08. bandwagoners need the wheels slashed on their wagon.

  15. There are good and bad fans in all cities. In my travels I have found some really lam e fans in minor hockey league rinks. These are usually the high school sweethearts of the local billeted boys from the small towns. The things these kids go through in the hope of either getting a hockey scholarship or getting drafted to Major Junior.

The real lame fans of NHL teams are those drawn in by the hype of a local team and their superstars. These are the ones who ask personal questions on Y!A like if anyone knows the answer they're gonna tell.

  16. I'm in the Military and am stationed in New England. I go to many Bruins games although I am a Redwings fan (from Michigan).

IMO, the Bruins have the worst fans. Games 3 and 4 of the playoffs were in Boston and there were 3x more Hab fans in the seats than Bruins fans. It was sad and disgusting to look out over the crowd and see nothing but the Red and White Montreal Jerseys outranking the Black and Gold.

That c**p is nonexistent at the Joe as every seat is filled by season ticket holders.

  17. i would say nashville, its a southern city that doesn't care much for hockey. they are some good fans but not enough, they only come out for playoffs

  18. Well said Bill!

You really can't blame an entire fan base based on a few ignorant people's actions.

  19. Least knowledgeable I have encountered are Avs fans. Most don't know Denver had an NHL team in the 1970s named The Colorado Rockies.

Lots of Blues fans are clueless, too. I remember one being furious during the 97 playoffs because the Red Wings wouldn't retaliate as Blue after Blue skated to the penalty box. I tried to explain what smart hockey is, and to him you either fight or you don't belong in the league.

  20. ranger fans are pretty g*y.

the flyer fans are scumbags too, but that can be said for all philadelphia teams.

  21. I don't know.  Which teams fans don't show up here?
