Who are the main researchers in psychology?

I need to know the main researchers in biological, cognitive, psychodynamic and behavioral psychology, and a little bit about them and what they did for psychology.

That is a pretty big question that will not likely elicit much response.  There are vast numbers of researchers in each domain, each with varying interests. I can provide names and you can continue the research with Google Scholar or Wikipedia.

Examples -

Biological - Hubel and Wiesel - showed varying pattern receptors in cats.

Cognitive - Anne Triesman - attention being parallel processing.

Psychodynamic - no real researcher since it is used in applied psych - but Freud was the founder of that movement, and then after Carl Jung and Karen Horney were big names.

Behavioural - look up B.F. Skinner. Very famous.

Behavioural Psych:

Ivan Pavlov - Classical conditioning. You may have heard of Pavlov's dogs. Basically he taught dogs to salivate when they heard a bell because they learnt to associate the sound of a bell with the arrival of food.

B. F. Skinner - Operant conditioning. Invented the "Skinner box" to show how consequenses (i.e. reinforcement or punishment) affect actions.

John B. Watson - Did a similar thing to Pavlov but with a human baby ("Little Albert"). He conditioned Little Albert to be affraid of a white rat.

Albert Bandura - Very prominent psychologist (most cited living psychologist). Studied self-efficacy, which is a persons belief in their ability to carry out a task regardless of actual ability.

Edward thorndike (Law of Effects) - I dont know much about him or his theories, but you may like to research it.

Cognitive Psychology

Jean Piaget - Probably the biggest name in cognitive psych. He recognised cognitive development as a series of stages and outlined these stages.
