  1. Every team from the Big 10 is over rated.  Every team with an inexperienced QB is over rated. Every team with a new coach, new offense, or new defense is over rated.  A team that lacks depth, seniors, or returning starters is over rated.

Basically, until the people making this decision are able to add something other than press conferences to their subjective decision making arsenal every team is the country is over rated.

  2. Ohio State. They have been to the Championship game twice in a row already and lost big both times. they should be closer to 10 rather than two.

  3. I agree with you about LSU.

    They are waaaaay overrated.

They lost all of their star players to they NFL and their backup QB was kicked off the team. They won't stand a chance in the SEC this season

  4. I understand LSU, but why Wisconsin? Maybe because of their coach. They have a lot of talent on both sides of the ball, and are 2-1 against the mighty SEC in bowl games the last 3 years, and quite frankly should have won against Tennessee, but for a bone head decision by the coach to go for it on 4th down with 5 minutes to go. I think it is Georgia. I am not sold just because they beat Hawaii and Florida. Hawaii flat sucks, and Florida has no defense. They lost to USC(decent at best) and got killed by tennessee. They struggled against Vandy and Troy. Then had 7 players arrested or something like that in the off season. Top ten, probably, top 5, maybe, consensus number 1? No chance.

Mickey, you forgot to mention their all american safety, their best linebacker, and their best corner. Yes, they have talent, but it usually takes time to develop. In the SEC, I wouldn't be suprised to see LSU lose 4 games.

  5. Why is LSU overrated?   Because of their quarterback situation?   If you didn't notice Matt Flynn nor Matt Mauck were extremely talented quarterbacks, just smart ones.   Those are the two qb's they won national championships with.  Losing Glen Dorsey?  Their D-Line is still stacked, they played about 8 or 9 guys regularly on their D-line last year, and noone that will be starting will be inexperienced.   Their secondary has several players that have quite a bit of experience waiting to play.   Early Doucet was the only big name wide reciever they lost, and he missed a large chunk of last season.   Jacob Hester will be missed alot, but their are 3 good running  backs waiting their turn.  I"m not saying they'll repeat as national champs, but I'd still bet on them being a solid top 10 team.

The overrated teams are Ohio State, Clemson and Texas Tech.

  6. I agree.

    Rutgers was underrated

  7. you know LSU you are right about but I don't agree with you on Clemson and some people might not understand but I think they have a good shot at winning their conference

then there is USC they are a top 10 sure but I don't think they deserve to be in the top 5 at all but I know just about everybody is going to disagree with me there

  8. Oklahoma, Texas Tech, Ohio State, LSU, Clemson, Pitt, Wake Forest.

  9. Georgia, USC, Texas, Kansas, Illinois

For the LSU bashers, they lost 4 1st round picks in 2006 and won the NC in 2007. They didn't lose as much in 2007. They're still loaded on both lines, loaded at RB, and the defense won't skip a beat. QB remains to be seen, but OOC games are rent-a-wins.

Ohio State will be in the title game again this year. They don't lose to the Stanfords of the world, and won't lose to the 40 point favorite Stanford beat.
