Question:

Who are the most reputable auto warranty companies/brokers?

Hi, I have a 2005 Volvo XC90 with 38K miles. The factory warranty expires soon, so I need to get an extended one. I am less concerned about price, instead looking for maximum coverage, $0 deductible, and convenience -- i.e., any Volvo dealerships will honor the warranty and the warranty company pays the dealership directly. Can you recommend a warranty company or broker with an "A" Standard & Poor rating? Thanks in advance for your advice!

  1. I'd strongly advise looking at extended warranty's from either banks or credit union's. The warranty will be covered by an insurance company and will not vanish over night as do used and new car dealership off-brand warranties do.

We had a Cadillac dealer in town who sold many worthless non GM warranties because the warranty company went out of business.

  2. I've always purchased an extended auto warranty for every car I've owned in the last 7 years. In the beginning I used to get them from the dealer, but lately it's cheaper to get them from an aftermarket company that specializes in warranties. http://www.autoadviceonline.com/Warranty... They offer free quotes, so it's easy to see how much one would cost for your automobile.

  3. GOOD LUCK THERE ISN"T ANYBODY I COULD RECOMEND, I SUGGEST YOU GET YOURSELF A GOOD MECHANIC AN PUT YOUR TRUST IN HIM,  ALOT OF TIME YOU"LL GET RIPPED OFF FROM YOUR AUTO WARRANTY CO.THEY PAY FOR THIS BUT NOT THAT, OR PAY HALF OF A PART THAT COST THEM 1-HALF WHAT THEY CHARGE YOU.

  4. For some people the policies arent worth it but for some people it is.  I would have been really in a mess without it a few times with my truck when I didnt have the extra money to pay outright. I was really glad I had the extended warranty.

It's not hard to get a quote at a website to check how much it will cost for a extended warranty.  I have recommended http://warranty.safelinked.info - Good luck.
