Overrated: Kyle Busch, Juan Montoya, Sam Hornish Jr., Dario Franchitti, Patrick Carpentier.

Underrated: David Stremme, Tony Raines, and Jeff Gordon: He has 81 wins and 4 cups, and you really don't hear the talk that he deserves. The media caps on him when he's losing, and says nothing when he's winning cause that what is expected.

I hat to say it since I'm something of a fan but for all that has been thrown at them overrated has to go to Kyle and Jr

The under almost has to go to Gordon who won everything but the trophy last year, bring back Winston and its a boring championship decided with 2 races left. At the end of the day half of 48 is 24 and that is roughly how much of the cash Gordon got so maybe winning isn't everything.

Mark Martin is the all time least appreciated driver and maybe the best of the bunch.

My driver is way underrated. Poor Jeff Burton. Heck the whole RCR gang is underrated.

Overrated, last year I thought it was Jimmie Johnson. This year it's David Ragan I think. Did you not read what they wrote about him on nascar.com in the Power Rankings?

"David has scored more points in the last three races than Kevin Harvick, Carl Edwards, Tony Stewart, Ryan Newman and Kasey Kahne."

Overrated... Kyle Busch, Biffle, Harvick and probably Little E.

Underrated... Jeff Gordon (as previous poster mentioned he's an all time great), Bobby Labonte and Dave Blaney.

I think the most underrated driver in the Sprint Series has got to be Denny Hamlin. Not very many people think he has the ability to win. Which is totally not true. Denny is a very skilled racer who is always out there, racing his hardest. He gets great finishes most of the time too and can be consistent. The most overrated driver, by far, has to be Kyle Busch. He honestly is a great racer. But he's not even the slightest bit consistent. Two weeks he will win the race, and then the next 2 months, he'll finish outside the top-10. Consistency is a big thing in NASCAR, especially if you want to have a shot at winning the championship.

wow what a load of p**p Jr is by far overrrrraaaatttted 2 years since a win... EGO and redneck is by far the worst combo ever.... JR needs to go and race trucks.... and leave Kyle Busch out of it one little wreck and you are hated if it was the other way around JR would have been praised for such a move ...Kyle is underratted

Junior is overrated?

The rating system is Sprint cup points. HE IS 3RD! He was also wrecked out twice while running in the top 10 this season. Once leading.

Over publicized in the media? Maybe, but he's the most popular driver in Nascar for various reasons. The fans made him that way, the media feeds off it.

Most Overrated: Kyle Busch, I'm not saying he can't drive a car, but he's too reckless for his own good and probably could win more races if he wasn't smashing at least one car out of a race every week.

Most Underrated: Clint Bower, the guy finished 3rd in the Nextel Cup points last year, only behind the Hendrick teammates. Chase or not, what does that say about his driving skill?
