  6. No one has *actually* landed on the moon.  Several astronauts have orbited it, but they never landed.  The videos you might have seen on television were filmed in New Mexico.  

    A fun bit of trivia: NASA goofed on one of the clips, and for a brief second, you can see part of a boom mic in the upper left corner!

    In 1969 , Neil Armstrong was the first to walk on moon .

    The fist landing was by Unmanned Soviet probe Lunar

    9 , which touched down on moon`s surface in 1966 .

    The first men to orbit themoon were the astronauts on board

    the US Apollo 8 in 1968 .

    On 20 July 1969 the american astronauts Neil Armstrong

    Armstrong and Edwin (Buzz) Aldrin became the first men ever

    to walk on moon .

    When Neil Armstrong  stepped on the moon for the first time

    he said these famous words :  'That`s one small step for a man ; one giant leap for mankind . '

    twelve men landed on the moon between 1969 and 1972 .

    The moon astronauts brought back 380kg of the moon rock .

    Unlike the moons of other planets, the moon of the Earth has no proper English name other than "the Moon" (capitalized)
