  1. basically your 4-5 year old kindergardeners- highschool 17-18 year olds.

    after that it is college. Im not really sure if i answered your question or not.

  2. If on your special education teaching certificate it says pre-K-12 it means you are certified to teach preschool, elementary (K-4), middle school (5&6), Jr. High (7&8), and High School (9-12, but  students with more severe disabilities can stay in high school until their 21st birthday). Some districts may require special endorsements or additional certificates to teach some grades or subjects.

  3. (in my state...i can vary)

    Elementary:

    Pre-K=4

    K=5yrs

    1=6yrs

    2=7yrs

    3=8yrs

    4=9yrs

    5=10yrs

    Middle:

    6=11yrs

    7=12yrs

    8=13yrs

    High:

    9=14yrs

    10=15yrs

    11=16yrs

    12=17yrs

    The ages are if a child is born later in the school year (after school lets out for the summer)
