I know there isn't a whole lot [of good ones].

Here's my list:

Andrew Bynum, Marcus Camby, Tyson Chandler, Samuel Dalambert, DeSagana Diop, Tim Duncan, Zydrunas Ilgauskas, Chris Kaman, Brook Lopez, Robin Lopez, Yao Ming, Greg Oden, Shaquille O'Neal.

13 true centers on my list.

  1. Camby, Bynum, Dwight Howard, Yao, Ilgauskas, Shaq, Tyson Chandler

  2. Height should not be a determining factor. Moses Malone was a GREAT center but not that tall. A true center should be able to play the low post, rebound, block shots, and pass. Being able to face up and create your own shot is a plus, not a requirement. The exception to the rule was Kareem.

  3. Andrew Bogut

    Andrew Bynum

    Marcus Camby

    Tyson Chandler

    Eddy Curry

    Samuel Dalembert

    Tim Duncan

    Marc Gasol

    Spencer Hawes

    Brendan Haywood

    Roy Hibbert

    Dwight Howard

    Zydrunas Ilgauskas

    Al Jefferson

    Chris Kaman

    Jamaal Magloire

    Brad Miller

    Yao Ming

    Nazr Mohammed

    Alonzo Mourning

    Dikembe Mutombo

    Shaquille O'Neal

    Greg Oden

    Joel Przybilla

    Theo Ratliff

    Ben Wallace

  4. Dwight Howard

  5. DWIGHT HOWARD IS THE BEST CENTER TODAY

  6. dwight Howard is definitly a center my friend.

  7. dwight howard , marcus camby, tim duncun plays pf and C but ill put him in the race, rasheed wallace,........................basicly and center who could give the team offensive and defensive rebounds everygame and produce a lot a game then they are a true BASketBalL PLAYER~~!!~~ and a center

  8. so it dosent matter that he is 6ft 10in because he is the most dominant center in the nba right now.. but ya ur list seems about right. and nene probably will be playing center this ye=r.

  9. Honestly, a "true" center is a guy who can create his own shot. Out of that list, I would say these are the only true Centers: Andrew Bynum, Zydrunas Ilgauskas, Yao Ming, Greg Oden, Shaq, Rasheed Wallace, and Dwight Howard.

    Tim Duncan is a PF.

Just because Dwight was drafted a PF doesn't mean he can't be a Center.

LeBron James was drafted as a Point Guard and Shooting Guard.. does that mean you can't call him a Small Forward?

  10. Dude, height shouldn't matter when deciding who can be a center or not.  I saw Al Harrington play a lotta center last year for the Warriors and he was only 6'9.  Dwight Howard is at this point the 2nd best "center".  Tim Duncan, who i believe would be called more of a power foward than center, would be number 1.  Just how he can average 20/10 with blocks, shoot a solid percetage from the field and just his knowledge for basetball is so great. So many championships earned under a hard Pavovic system.

  11. You forgot Dwiight Howard and maybe Rasheed Wallace because he has been playing center for a year know.

  12. Dwight is the best center today but I don't know if he could be considered a "true" center but I don't know. When I think of a true center though Shaq and Yao come to mind first because they don't move far from the basket, don't have that much range, and block shots and the paint very well. Plus they are HUGE.

Tim Duncan is a PF by the way.

  13. Marcus Camby, Dwight Howard, Shaq, Andrew Bynum, Andris Biedrins, Z, Chris Kaman, Yao Ming, Greg Oden, Erick Dampier, Diop, T-Chan

  14. Kendrick Perkins, Tim Duncan, & Yao Ming,

  15. 1. Shaquille O'Neal

    2. Andrew Bynum

    3. Chris Kaman

    4. Marcus Camby

    5. Brook Lopez

    6. Zydrunas Illgauskas

    7. Al Horford

    8. Yao Ming

    9. Samuel Dalenbaret

    10. Andreis Biedris

    11. Robin Lopez

    12. Grg Oden

    13. Tyson Chandler

    Tim Duncan is a PF.

  16. Yao ming...the best,but also Amare Stoudemire
