Magnus Wilander-Sweden- "The Hose" because of ability to slither through the defense. Voted World Hand Ball player of the century. Played more then 380 international matches averaging 3 points a game. Led Sweden to 2 world championships and 3 silver medals.

Veselin Vujovic-Yugoslavia Great player for F.C. Barcelona and won 1 silver (1984) 1 bronze (1988) and 1 world championship. Named the all time best handball player by World Wide Handball.

Jae-Won Kang  1989 handball player of the year and was the captain of the 1988 Silver medal South Korean Team. Before 1988 handball was really unknown sport in Korea. Named 2nd best all time handball player.

JOE DURSO - It's really tough to pick between Joe, Albert Apuzzi and Paul Williams (even after the "incident"). He knew the game inside and out, and had power and finesse. Dominating during the mid 80s to mid 90s. He fooled experts who said a big man would be awkward. Joe probably had the most fluid movements of any big man who played. Though plagued with steroid accusations through out his carreer and 6 arrests for spousal abuse, at 46 he made the semis in the 2001 Nationals. Still a contender despite his age. To me he is definately #1.

ALBERT APUZZI - Held 7 national doubles championships in a row making him a USHA record holder. Power, speed and stamina were his trademarks. Captured two national singles titles before he got his arm broken in a drunken bar fight, robbing him of prime years in singles play. Still a force in singles and doubles but now needs to ration his hard hitting in an attempt to get his arm to not break again. Also very active behind the scenes running tournaments.

PAUL WILLIAMS - He looks more like somekind of pro wrestler rather than an agile handball player. Paul has captured 3 National doubles titles but he is also well known for his rewarding work as ICHA President and USHA Vice President. Paul ran youth programs, recruiting kids from all over the city to go to out-of-town events as far off as Canada, Ireland and Wales. Williams did important work and made a huge contribution by serving as a mentor to inner city youth. But in 1997 he was found in possesition of child pornography in a British airport. As most of the youths testified against Williams he was found guilty of 11 felonys and sentanced to 30 years with possibilty of paroll in 2012. He is said to want to restart his youth program as he believes he has been rehibilitated and found religion.
