1. Michael Bisping - The guy has a great record, but who has he beat. He won the Hammil fight in a decision and I don't know how and he lost to Evans, who imo isn't that great. Plus his fights are generally slow and boring to watch.

2. Tim Sylvia - Look at what happened to him against Fedor. Wasn't even a fight. Also, lost to an old Randy Cotoure and was almost knocked out by him. He is big and slow with no great skills in any discipline of martial arts.

3. Lyoto Machida - I know I will catch flak for this, but here it goes. He is undefeated, but hasn't really beaten anybody. I know BJ Penn, but Penn was fighting at LHW, 50 pounds over where he usually fights. Rich Franklin, I think he has been exposed, as has the 185 weight class with what Anderson Silva has done to it. Tito Ortiz, he is way past his prime and Machida wasn't by any means dominate.

4. Rich Franklin - He has lost to every fighter with any merit.

5. Kimbo - All hype. No MMA skills, not even a great boxer.

  1. 1. Kimbo Slice (hes a street fighter that cant do **** in a real mma fight)

    2. Tim Silvia (lost to everyone good... andre,fedor,randy...)

    3. Rashad Evans (he may be undefeted but hes never fought anyone good)

    4. Paulo Fihlo (he may be the wec champ but there really isnt anyone good in wec. A lot of ranking systems rank him #2. He would get smoked by silva, franklin, henderson....)

    5. fitch

  2. * A. Silva. He is not p4p anything. He got full mounted by Lutter, and Lindland would destroy his soul. Kang would probably KTFO him as well.

    * Roger Huerta. He hasn't fought anyone with the exception of Clay Guida [who dominated him until gassing] and yet he is crowned as one of the greats. He is all hype and will get destroyed by a top ten lightweight.

    * Urijah Faber. He hasn't fought anyone with the exception of Curran and is seen as the best Featherweight in the world. Well, Kid Yamamoto has something to say about that. Kid would knock Faber out in one point four seconds.

    * BJ Penn. He is a superb fighter, but who exactly has he beaten at Lightweight? Pulver? Sherk? Wow. That doesn't make him #1. He isn't #1. SEE Dream® for the real best lightweights in the world. And if Penn really wanted to be the best, he would pressure ZUFFA, LLC to contract some of those guys for one fight.

    * Gina Carano. Cyborg will kill her. RIP CARANO.

  3. 1. Kimbo Slice

    2. Lyoto Machida - effective but very boring fight style.

    3. Michael Bisping - as stated above, he really has not beat anyone with merit.  Matt Hamill should have won that fight.

    4. Heath Herring - he was supposed to come into the UFC and  beat everyone up - what happened?

    5. Frank Mir - he is the UFC top rated contender for the belt?

  4. Wow, Delta and Darb, you two couldn't be any more wrong.

Matt Hughes is the most dominant champion in UFC history, and his wrestling skills and ground and pound are undeniably excellent. Chuck Liddell is known for his stand-up and nearly knocked out all of his UFC opponents. Anderson Silva is tied best p4p in the world, nuff said. And BJ Penn destroyed Pulver, former lightweight champion and Sherk, another former lightweight champion. His jiu-jitsu is also unmatched. Tito Ortiz doesn't even have a BJJ belt, he was an accomplished submission wrestler.

I just can't believe how stupid some of you are.

  5. 1.kimbo slice

    2.tito ortiz

    3.brock lesnar

  6. 1. Tim Sylvia (highly over rated and boring as h**l to watch)

    2. Kimbo Slice

    3. Tito Ortiz

    4. GSP (He lost to Matt Sera people - Come on already)

    5. Brock Lesnor (He has potential, but he's not as good as

the hype would like you to believe)

  7. Who is overrated. You don't even know how these fighters are rated or what they are rated you are going off popularity. I am kind of sick of these questions. Lets say kimbo is over rated. well he is NOT! he barely make the top 40. Yes, their are tons of fans but he is not a real ranked fighter. Rich Franklin? He has only lost two to people leaving him only beaten by two people. OK, what does losing to Fedor have to do with not being a well ranked fighter????? Every one that Fedor has fought has been beaten, so that would mean crocop and noguierra are bums, while the none top ten are the ones who have done the best against like Fujita are now ranked higher even though they have less credentials. Could you ask who are the most over hyped or over loved because the ranking system is actually a very well put together system done by very very mma smart people. it is not based on who is like, who fights where or anything like that. These answers and your question show ignorance to the sport the fighters and the commissions who actually rank the fighters.

  8. 1. Matt Hughes-doesn't know how to fight...just super strong

    2. Chuck Liddell-horrible stand up, no ground game...never doesn't fight good fighters

    3. Randy Couture-good for his age and in good shape but doesn't know how to fight

    4. Josh Koscheck-how is he even in the ufc?

Those are the four that bug me

Sylvia has good hands though and I think he earned his rep

Tito is from the older days when ju jitsu was in its prime and he helped make the ufc popular...I dont think he has to prove anything anymore...hes just a wrestler though

  9. I agree with TheGreatWhite... unless you've stepped in there and are among some of the top talent in the sport... don't bash... all promotions want their fighters and especially their champs to come off looking as the baddest and best on the planet, otherwise what would be the point of getting ratings if we knew they all sucked? We eat it up that so and so is the next big thing, you have to really look at someone's fights, ALL their fights, analyze and then come away with your opinion.. and who does a guy like Machida have to beat in order for him to earn YOUR respect?

  10. Tim Sylvia is a 3 time champ anyone who puts him on the overrated list is a fool and a newb to MMA. Kimbo would be the definition of overrated

  11. 1. Kimbo Slice - by far the most overrated MMA fighter there is. Don't get me wrong I would milk the money train to if I had the chance. Just tried of Newbies thinking he is an elite fighter when he isn't even in the top 25. Tried of Kimbo vs ? questions.

    2. Houston Alexander - I really do like this guy and I want him to fight and win. He had two really great knock outs and everybody was suddenly a fan. I will admit I was impressed as well. Thiago Silva and James Irvin disposed of him quickly and showed he might not be a contender.

    3. Brock Lesnar - I will be the first to admit that Brock will be a serious contender in the HWD within the next few years. Right now he is only notorious because of the WWE. Once he has had enough training in submission defense he will be a force to reckon with.

    4. Lyoto Machida - No one even knew his name until he beat Tito. Yes Machida has beaten Stephen Bonnar, Rich Franklin, Sokoudjou and Penn. However, Bonnar & Franklin was before they ever joined the UFC. Soko was inexperienced and isn't an elite fighter, yet. Penn was in K-1 at the time, wasn't taking his care serious enough and the match went to a decision. Machida is a boring fighter to watch. Not saying he isn't effect... just boring.

    5. Michael Bisping - He hasn't had any good opponents expect for Rashad Evans (split decision - he lost) and Matt Hamil (split decision - he won but shouldn't have). The only reason they force feed him as an elite fighter is because they are trying to build there fan base in England.
