Deron Williams and Dwight Howard are my two favorite players at their positions, but i still would not call them under rated.

1. David West - Finally made the all-star which will make him more known however he is probably in the top 3 undersized power forwards in the league, it is no coincidence that Chris Paul had such a great season with players surrounding him like West

2. Monta Ellis - Again another undersized player at thecombo guard who will probably have to step into a much bigger role for the Warriors. Although he is no Baron Davis he can run the break for this young quick team that WILL make the playoffs this year. A very good athlete and smooth shooter.

3. Kevin Martin - WHO? A little known player for the Sacramento Kings who can average 20 points a game in this league consistantly. Sacramento being in a rebuilding stage has to keep this player he is somebody they can build around. Look at his stats he is a legitament threat in this league and if he gets better players around him he will catapult into a very solid player for years to come.

4. Shane Battier - Probably to hyped coming out of Duke however he did come out of Duke. Arguably the best one on one defender in the NBA. A key part of the long winning streak had by the Rockets this year. Any young players should watch how he played Kobe in the game near the end of the streak. His fundamentals are amazing making him my favourite defensive role player in the league.

5. J.R. Smith - That guy who can dunk. Yeah, that guy. Guess what thats not all he can do. Behind to superstars in Denver he is not given the credit he deserves. He was in the top 25 in scoring this year with over 18 a contest and it wasn't on 9 dunks. He is an outside threat and when left open when Melo or A.I. are doubled he can knock down the open three.

These 5 players are in no particular and all are yet to be in the prime of their careers. (other than Battier whose prime was at Duke)
