Who are the top ten midrange shooters in the league?

When considering the best midrange shooters, some things to take into account are:

how they shoot off the dribble

how they shoot off a post up

how good they are at catching and shooting

how good they are at creating space with fakes and such/ability to get off their shot with defensive pressure

how good they are at coming off screens

and anything else you can think of

1. d-wade: leagues best mid range shooter. hes got a variety of moves he can use on you. hes great at the pull up and is a clutch performer. that answer 2 of your questions. hes not incredible at posting up but noneoftheless a threat. wades got a great step back jumper, which is his go to move.

2. richard hamilton: best at coming off screens to shoot his jumper. hes alright at creating space simply because he'll be out ahead of his man bc they run into a pick. hes not a threat off  of the dribble. hes very consistent which is why i have him so high.



3.kobe: hes great at using fakes and getting his man up in the air and then shooting it for the and 1. hes known for his ability to just pull up in the defenses face at ease. kobes also has one of the games best mid range fadaways (post up). he uses this extremely effectively and very hard to stop. i have him 3rd because he just has so many different ways to beat you on the mid range

4. melo: hes one of the best at posting up his man. hes not a great shooter but possesses a very good mid range game. melos strong enough to create space for himself against smaller guys, but hes athletic and fast enough to get by bigger guys. the nuggets dont have much of an offensive set, for them its primarily isos with ai and melo, therefore we dont see much catch and shooting with him.

5. Paul pierce: pierce is extremely underrated at the mid range, but his performance in the finals has certainly got some eyes. like kobe, and melo. pierce is very good at posting up. and like kobe he uses a variety of fakes to get his man off balance. on of the moves i see him use often is the spin move/ in and out dribble to creat some space for his shot. hes strong which allows him to create space. not known for coming off screens bc of ray allen.

6. steve nash: hes a great shooter both midrange and from 3. hes not known as a scorer but given the opportunity he can knock it down. granted i may have him too high but i just think that he is too good of a shooter.

7. Dirk: hes a nighmare for big men to cover. hes got a great fadaway jumper which he uses oh so often. if hes guarded by a shorter quicker man he will either post and fade or simply shoot over the top of them. dirk is capable of shooting off of screens but doesn't do it often. dirk he good at pulling up becasue of his excellent ball handling abilty for a guy his size. finally hes got a few moves that he uses to shake his man off, ex his spin move --> one leg shot. the only knock against him is that he does not perform in the big games.

8.. vince carter: now that hes older and lost some of the explosiveness and leeaping ability taht he once possessed, carter now defers to the mid range game. he has a decent post up game whih allows him to get some good looks

9. ray allen: one of the best shooter ever, but he struggles with consisntency. one game he will be lights out but the next he will struggle to find his shot. hes excellent at coming off screens but besides that he doesn't create his shot that effectively. hes only 6'5 and doesn't have many moves to get good looks. however he is clutch but i will stress that he lacks the moves to get good looks. (i have him low because of this, hamilton is very consistent, allen is not).

10. t-mac: hes not as good as he once was but still when hes on hes on. mcgrady, like allen, are streaky shooters but tmac has more moves than allen. hes bigger and more athletic which allows him to get good looks. however i have him lower than ran simply because mcgrady is no where teh shooter as allen is. tracy is decent at shooting off teh dribble, but is good at creating space with his athleticism and size.
