would have been andy and jh though both are no show at RG and the former would be lucky to get into the third or fourth while the latter is gone forever. but definitely its going to be maria all the way. let me add fed, rafa, blake and murray. i'm raising up a horde who will distract djokovic if that will be allowed. anyone?

Andy Murray.

He's the only British player in the singles tounament. But I know he won't win. He'll probably get to the 3rd round. 4th if the draw is kind.

I'd like to see Federer win just because it's the only one he hasn't won and because it would be nice to see him beat Nadal.

I'll be cheering for the following:

Roger Federer - I want him to take the title. PERIOD.

Jelena Jankovic - I want to see her win as well. I like her better than Ivanovic, who I think is always lucky.

Svetlana Kuznetsova - She needs to follow up her 2004 US Open title. If she wants to enter the tennis history books, she needs to win more Grand Slam title.

David Ferrer - I just had enough of his compatriot.

gustavo kuerten...it's just cause the generation of tennis that i grew up watching as a kid is almost extinct.

he was unique.. i remember when he came back to win against michael russell one year after being down match point i think... he drew a heart on the dirt before he knelt down and started blowing kisses to the crowd.. he's a great champion, great charisma.. he probably won't make a very deep run at this year's french open.. but he deserves all the praise and applause for his last time..

i'd be cheering for jankovic too. i hope she does better this time

I think this year will be really exciting at the French. Novak will be wanting sweet revenge from Rafa from that loss in Hamburg and well Roger...we all no he craves that french open title. All in all its gonna be an amazing tournament with awesome tennis regardless of who wins. I would actually like to see Novak and Roger play in semis to be honest, i think that would be a great encounter, i truly think Novak could be able to take Roger if they met in the semis. That being said i somehow think Nadal will get the tougher route to the final and have to play Novak in semis :( !!!
