Why do some ecologists believe that in situ conservation, by careful habitat management, is the only acceptable conservation strategy, and that it is unacceptable to maintain species which no longer have any natural habitat, or who are unable to breed in the wild, in zoos/gardens?

  1. Socially a women

  2. this is because zoos/ gardens are artificial Eco systems, and the wild are natural ecosystems. The difference between natural and artificial is that natural Can be controlled and one type of plant can be favored however artificial Eco systems do nit determine that.

You can also get artificial breeding in zoos and gardens and for plants e.g. More sunlight more carbon dioxide, more fertilizer Will help the production of that particular type of plant. Or if animals can ahve more care and more space food water mates etc.!
