Who are we trying to protect when we try to 'protect the innocent?'?

American and International say that everyone is innocent until proven guilty.  So I think that when we are trying to protect the innocent we are trying to protect everyone.  American and International law also says that no one should receive cruel and unusual punishment so even the guilty are protected.

  3. During my 26 years in the Army I defined 'innocent' as any ordinary person who was just trying to live his or her life.

  4. I believe people who have no power and are weak, therefore their "rights" isn't being counted either.

  5. Why not protect the innocent,some one who .didnot do anything wrong, We are protecting the one whom is in the right.everyone who needs it until proven otherwise.
