  1. My own adoptive mother would not let me stay in the fog.  She believes that this is my true calling. LOL.

My heros... Sandy Young.  Marley Greiner.   I look forward to meeting Marley in New Orleans.  Sandy is everything IRL as online.  I love that woman.  The Fleasbiting women are awesome too.  So is Thirdmom.  Lizard Chronicles is a true intelligent vital woman.  Claud who wirtes Musings Of the Lame is another strong, vital energetic, incredible woman.  Allison Quets is another hero.  Though many disagree, she is very intelligent, wise, strong, beautiful, and powerful woman.  Joy and Addie are wicked, snarky, intelligent women as well.  Mia  and Ungrateful Little b*****d are awesome sisters as well.

Of course I am Amyadoptee.  Thanks for the kudos.

  2. I always knew I would 'deal' with my adoption when I could.  After reading an article about Florence Fisher when I was 21, in 1987, I figured out that 'searching' was what you were supposed to do.  So I joined ALMA.  Here's a history of that group here:

Eventually I migrated to Joe Soll's new group, Adoption Crossroads.  Which was an invaluable resource in my reunion.

I took a class with the amazing Betty Jean Lifton. Drawn to her from her groundbreaking book, Lost and Found,  I was one of the hundreds of adoptees who contributed my experiences to Journey of the Adopted Self.  She now does personal counseling:

I think one of the best adult adoptee blogs online is this one:
