What player/s do you think will shine this year, without all the hype?

I think Shaun Hill of the 49ers will be, who showed good effort in his first NFL start last season winning his first NFL game against the Bengals 20-13 but was injured and had to sit out the rest of the season, he's 2-0 as a starter could have been more if not for the injury, he's competing with Alex Smith for the starting job this year which should be a piece of cake cause we all know how Alex Smith is

I think another sleeper will be Jonathan Stewart of the Panthers who looks really good in training camp and with Carolina's revamped o-line him and D-Williams will have a much better chance of getting big gains and good rushing yards

Who's your picks?

  1. A healthy Jake Delhomme should have a good year. And the panthers are also my sleeper team as a possible NFC wild card.

  2. Lt, AP and Addai

  3. thomas jones, santioni holmes, jake delhomme if hes healthy and antonio cromartie

  4. can you call a rookie a sleeper if you can then ill take James Hardy (buffalo's 2nd round pick) iv been watching him closely hes gonna be a dominate player for a long time

  5. Well, I think two Jacksonville Jaguars will be the ones most people don't think about.  David Garrard and Fred Taylor.  Both have done great in their careers so far.  Especially Fred Taylor.  He has been overlooked for many years, and he finally got his first probowl nod last year.  Garrard did a terrific job at taking his team to the playoffs.  Many people don't seem to remember that he had a QB rating above 80.0 last season.  His numbers were pretty steady and above average.  Another player that many will overlook is Drew Brees.  He was another QB that did phenomenal last season despite missing the playoffs.  He actually had an 89.4 QB rating 67.5 completion percentage and over 4000+ yards.  When people name the top QB's you don't hear his name very much.  You always here Peyton Manning or Tom Brady, but Brees is one that many have forgotten about.. He did very well last season, and I expect him to do better this year..

  6. Sweed is Big Bens answer for a big reciever, look for him to make a lot of  red zone sets.

Leon Washington.  Jets need some RB help and Washington (a 7th round pick of 2007) has speed.  He looked good in all of his touches last year and scored many fantasy points as kick returner.

  7. watch eagles rookie Desean Jackson. he will return some punts for TD's and is really opening up eyes in camp as a WR

  8. Chris Johnson of the Titans, Felix Jones of the Cowboys

  9. u guys r forgetting kevin boss is a notable backup if u need a backup thomas jones will have a better running  game because of farve and a new revitalized line.

  10. Johnnie Lee Higgins as a punt returner.

  11. Rashard Mendenhall

    Ricky Williams ( He's Baaaack!! )

    Troy Smith

    All of Green Bays QB's

    Michael Bush

  12. WR Jabar Gaffney of the New England Patriots. With Donte Stallworth off to Cleveland, Gaffney will have a chance to get on the field more frequently. He came on strong last year and even stole stats away from Stallworth, and he should continue to do so as long as the Patriots continue their pass-happy ways.

WR Santana Moss of the Washington Redskins. The West Coast offense has been every good to receivers of all shapes and sizes, and Moss should be the next to enjoy its benefits. It's been three years since Moss' 1,483 yeard, nine-touchdown season, but his best chance to come close to those numbers comes this year, and that's the case even with the Redskins drafting two rookie WRs.

Defense/Special Teams of the Buffalo Bills. Not only will the Bills' secondary and kick-return game get a boost with the addition of rookie Leodis McKelvin, but the rest of the defense will have much-needed depth since several key members got hurt in 2007 will return in 2008. Tack on veteran additions in DT Marcus Stroud and LB Kawika Mitchell, and the club should be primed to compete with big-gun offenses like the Patriots'.

  13. i'd say Sidney Rice, WR Vikings.  he was pretty good as a rookie last year.

also, i'm gonna go ahead with Tarvaris Jackson.  he's not gonna be great, but better then people are saying.

  14. Bryant Johnson- WR for SF

    James Hardy- WR for Buffalo

    Rashard Mendenhall- RB for Pitt

    Dallas Clark- TE for Indy

    David Garrard- QB for Jac

    Thomas Jones- RB for NYJ
