  1. Where was it you heard it makes good pay?  From someone trying to convince you to sign up for a scheme like this?

  2. Honestly, most of the assemble-parts-at-home things are scams. They usually make you pay up front for supplies, then they claim your work is flawed, no matter how perfect it is. No pay for flawed work.

There are some things that are legit, but finding them is hard. You can google on the words "assemble at home jobs" and read all about it, but don't put up any money of your own.

What about mystery shopping? You shop anyway. And often they need people with kids. Pay isn't much to start, but after a year or two of good work, you get the better jobs. You can pick which shops you want to do. Shops can be fast food, ice cream, gift shops, clothing, home stores where you buy then return the item, bank shops, even some shops by phone.

Here are two sites full of info. The MSPA lists a ton of mystery shopping companies you can sign up for jobs from. Volition is a message board where mystery shoppers will answer all your questions and tell you what the good and bad companies are.
