  1. Devotees who think they can make a difference.  They consider all of the pros and cons and then vote.  Good for them.  They take the whole thing very seriously and make the effort and go there.  They are to be admired for their dedication.


  2. OK, it's mostly people involved in the political process. Members of Congress. Mayors, Town Council members. Members of the committees.

    Of course, there are supporters who get on the primary ballot and run to be delegates. If their candidate wins, they get to go.

    I've known a couple of people who went as delegates. One said it wasn't much fun, because he was called by every interest group in the world. The other said it was a blast. So it all depends, I guess.
