Do you know when or who? I am watching a movie about a trial in the 1930's in Alabama where they excluded eligible black men from being on the jury. My husband and I were just wondering who would have been given the opportunity first. (We both realize that both black men and white women were already given the rights to do this but were not allowed too)

  1. Women were used before black men. Women started serving on juries in the 40's mainly due to World War II. Black men started serving on juries in the mid 60's to Early 70's

  2. Due to segregation it's unlikely to be a answer for Alabama.
