Israel has the largest troop consideration in Georgia right now... also you might not know this but there are about 6,000 US speck ops deployed in Georgia to.... we are at war with a nation that has nukes, and modern weapons not just some guy with an exploding air compressor strapped to his chest... Georgia launched a large-scale offensive to seize control over the province early on Friday using tanks, combat aircraft, heavy artillery and infantry. Local authorities say numerous civilians were killed, and the Russians say Russian peacekeepers lost their lives in the onslaught. Russian tanks and artillery flooded across the border into South Ossetia on Friday after the Georgian attack.

Georgia's attack was in violation of a 1996 agreement ending earlier fighting between the Georgian and South Ossetian sides and in spite of Russian calls for negotiations and a ceasefire.  Russia had stationed peacekeepers in the region since the early 90s.

Some say Georgia has a right to bring the S. Ossetia back into their control. The current Georgian President has only been in power since 2003.  Prior to Saakashvili's rise, Russia was the only international player in South Ossetia and Abkhazia, with troops in both regions under a CIS-sanctioned "peacekeeping" mission.  Saakeshvili has also made move to gain membership into NATO....which also has pissed off Russia.

The timing of Georgia's move was prompted by two events, one being the Olympic Games and the other, the imminent departure of President Bush.  With the eyes of the world on the Olympics, the timing was calculated.  And with their support from the US in the form of Pres. Bush, the Georgian President played the only card he had left.  

Unfortunately for him, he'll be left high and dry, the same way the Czechs and Hungarians were in the 50s and 60s when they too called upon western support after Ruskie military clamp down.  Unless oil is involved, we'll just give the Georgians rhetorical support with possible UN sanctions...then call it a  day.

Georgia tried to retake its territory from russian-backed rebels to end its civil war, but Russia took it to far and bombed Georgias people and massing 10,000 troops along the Russian-Georgian border and the Georgian Coast.

And plus Russia sent thousands of its troops into Georgian territory in South Ossetia, so russia started this horrible war!

I'm sorry for my English, but i hope you will understand me. Don't belive your Mass-Media (newspaper, tv or something else). Russia did not begin war! We want to live in peace! Georgia has begun war, they attacked South Ossetia! And have arranged that Russia has attacked Georgia! I saw proofs, which prove that Georgia has begun war! I do not remember on what site I saw them, but I shall necessarily look for it and I shall lay out here references to prove to you that I is right!
